WHO: Bakura, Kiryu, open to any other 10th floor-ers but I think Alastair's the only other possible one?
WHERE: 10th floor, Hell Towers
WHEN: After Kiryu finds out Saitou was ported out, so like... 2pmish?
WARNINGS: FIRE!
SUMMARY: Kiryu's method of dealing with the fact that Saitou was ported out is sulk and to set things on fire. In his apartment. Setting off the smoke alarms and alarming Bakura.
FORMAT: Paragraph to start, whatever Cal wants after.
Bakura looked up from where he was working on his TRPG as the sound of the fire alarm went off. He gave an exasperated sound, setting down his knife. Really, he had been enjoying the month or so of NOT having the alarm go off every time Hiruma tried cooking. It was worth the extra time to cook extra for his cooking-challenged friend to keep the air clear and himself not panicking.
So why on Earth was he burning something now? Really, if he wanted something to eat, all he had to do was--
... wait.
Hiruma was off on his trip with the rest of his roomates.
Which meant it wouldn't be Hiruma burning another frozen meal.
...
OH SHI--
He near flew out of the room into the hall, looking towards the sound of the alarm. Alastair, Kiryu's and Saitou's apartment. Not good!
He raced down, pounding on the door. "Kiryu-kun! Saitou-san! Are you all right?" he yelled.

He lit another brick of wood and tossed it in the metal trash can sitting in front of him. The trash had burned pretty quickly, although it smoked more than he'd expected. The wood didn't usually burn quite as fast, although it was definitely burning hotter and higher now from how upset he was.
A small part of him was annoyed at Saitou, for leaving again. The rest was pissed off at that part and the porter and already upset by all the other crap going on.
At least Alastair was at work. He had time to calm down and figure out what to tell him.
Infernity Beast was the one to notice Bakura at the door. It nudged at Kiryu's headphones enough to get him to take them off so he could deal with the noise.
But Bakura wasn't going to get him to get up. Kiryu summoned Infernity Mirage to go open the door instead. He was happier staying here on the floor.

But that wasn't something to think about now there was a fire, he could see the smoke! He pushed on intro the apartment, raising his shirt up to block out the smoke.
He paused, blinking. "... Kiryu-kun, what are you doing?!" he exclaimed, moving to the windows to open them, trying to fan the smoke out, coughing a few times.

"Practicing." The block went up in flames and he tossed it into the can.

That did not sound good. At all.
Nor did Kiryu look good, he realized, now that he knew the apartment wasn't about to burn down.
There was a slightly sickening feel in his stomach as he realized when he had last seen Kiryu look like this...
"... what happened...?"

"That damn bitch. It's always that damn bitch. She can't just leave anyone alone..."

His fists clenched, shaking slightly, knowing fully that the porter would indeed so something like that.

C'mon, LJ HOW MANY TIMES DO I HAVE TO POST THIS? ><
orz i know right
Kiryu eyed Infernity Beast for a moment before reaching out to pet it, visibly relaxing a little.
"He'd better come back. But with the 'porter...it might be months..."
I had to post that like.. 5 times @_@
XD yeah, I was trying to post something then too and...ugh
"He'll remember," he bit out. "Or I'll make him. I don't fucking care how long he's gone, he'll remember."

Partly, it was to make Kiryuu feel better, but the last few times Saitou had vanished he had come back remembering... so he should again, right?
AFTER 5 PM...
"...what the...?"

Her ears twitched when the door opened, but neither of them looked up; Kiryu had his headphones on and Alastair could probably hear his music from the doorway.

Alastair made a point of putting down his laptop bag and taking off his coat before going to stand in front of Kiryu and find out just how not-good it really was. He didn't need to say anything, not that Kiryu would hear him anyway - he just folded his arms and loomed over him with a suspicious frown.
no subject
he didn't say anything either, but he did push one side of his headphones back off his ear.

"What happened?" he asked simply. Flatly. He was aware of how quiet the apartment was...of the cat sitting there instead of being on a certain someone's shoulder. If Kiryu's public confession on the comm had come back to bite him...

He stared at Alastair for a moment before looking away again. "He's gone."

He stood there staring at the floor for a while, and then moved to sit next to Kiryu. Not too close, but not far away either. Eventually, he would probably rage against the 'porter - again - but right now it just took too much energy. It was better to sit, and try to understand.
