[As John approached the location Carnage had given him, he lit his glove in preparation. Who knew what the fuck was actually there, though maybe it was giving Carnage too much credit to think he might set up a trap of some sort. Better to play it safe. And really, you couldn't play it much safer than Knives.]

[He can't help it. He smiles when Carnage starts to burn, warding off any attacks with a flick of his blades. He wants to see the piece of garbage writhing on the ground, screaming in pain, and to that affect, Knives keeps him pinned to that one spot. It's only when he's sure Carnage is unable to move that he withdraw them, grinning as he watches the bonfire blaze.]

[Knives's lower lip curls with disdain at the sight of the human beneath the red ooze. A human - as expected. It doesn't take much of an imagination to realize what's happening either or what needs to be done.

Whipping his blades around, he effectively blocks Kasady and knocks him back, trying to keep him separated from the symbiote. He glances at John, his voice sharp.]

Burn it.

[He's able to grab onto the writhing mass for a second before being shoved away, trying to retaliate toward Knives all the same. The symbiote on the ground still has flecks of flame making it sizzle and act like a generally pained blob, but he can't feel it anymore. They aren't attached.]

[John is still a little shocked at Cletus' appearance, but Knives gets through to him. He doesn't gesture this time, but mentally urges the little bits of flame on the symbiote to grow larger, to consume every last bit of it.]

[Now that Kasady doesn't have the symbiote, he's just another human so it doesn't take much effort to keep him under wraps. Looking down at him with disgust, Knives runs his shoulder through with a blade, keeping him on the ground as John burns the red glob.]

[Cletus stares as the pile is reduced to nothing. Rather than explode into a rage or... well, REACT to the fact that his symbiote is being burned up, he's just. Silent, a bit of a scowl on his face.]
