SUMMARY: Spies need caffeine to keep as active as they do, so where better to go than a coffee shop? Plus, strange gadgets ftw
WARNINGS: Science, gadgets, caffeine. All very offensive stuff
FORMAT: Whatever :D
Caffeine is known to make the world go round, not to mention keep active business types running through their long days and nights. And really, James Bond could easily be mistaken for a flashy British businessman, well dressed and efficient as he is, wearing easy smiles and expensive suits.
He's settled himself off to one corner of the coffee shop, typing away on the latest Sony laptop between idle staring that seems to be little more than people watching. It takes some time for him to even notice he's run low on coffee, considering his options before eventually choosing upon leaving everything on the table and heading over to the till (no one will try stealing his unattended laptop, not unless they want to have several broken limbs).
James almost gets around to ordering another black coffee for himself, before being entirely distracted by a small... well, it seems like a robot thing of sorts, which naturally has his attention within seconds because Bond is a gadget nut.
Just... give him a second while he tries poking it.

"Looks like you're a busy woman," he says, approaching a nearby workbench and picking up what he assumes is something half finished and trying to work out what the hell it does, or will do.

Just to keep said explosive and potentially dangerous stuff out of his hands, she hums a short order to some of her 'bots, which whisk those items away. No sense blowing anything up just yet, right?
As it was, the one he was playing with? Beeps warningly three times, then partly unfolds itself into what looks like a scanner of some sort. As stated, it's not done yet.
no subject
Despite the clear warning the noise provides, Bond seems to have absolutely no concern that said item in his hands might be any danger. Sometimes his self-preservation skills are absolutely appalling.
"What do you make all these for?"
no subject
"Well, some are on commission, such as the beastie over there.." Here she gestured at the helicopter. "But most of them are for me, from my own ideas."
no subject
At least he's sparing a glance to the helicopter. "Who's that one for?"
no subject
"It doesn't work yet, because it's not finished."
Dear lord, he's worse than the Jager trio.
"It's for the police. They asked me to add some armor and upgrade the systems, but that's just so boring, so I'm doing that and the weaponry and a few more things besides."
no subject
But wait, she's just mentioned weaponry and upgrades, and considering the scanner he's holding isn't even in working order yet, it's getting put down and James is heading straight for the helicopter. Hopefully he won't start touching too many buttons.
"You can do that?"
no subject
She heaved a sigh and trailed him over towards the chopper.
"Yes, I can do that, and if you break anything, I will be most displeased." It's a pity that her Spark charisma doesn't work at all in the City. It would be much easier to discourage him if it did. Another soft hum, and one of her 'bots disengages the power to the helicopter. Just in case.
no subject
Sadly for her he's already climbing into it, but maybe more lucky, by the time he's pressing anything, the power has already been switched off. That's actually mildly disappointing for him.
"... It's broken," he points out with a complete lack of maturity and mass amounts of sarcasm, now with added childish smirks. But goddammit he wanted to at least fire off some missiles or something.
no subject
"I rather like my workshop and would rather not blow it up, besides."
no subject
"How much do you charge for this sort of job?" He wants a pimped out helicopter-- oh wait, he has one already.
no subject
He does have a moderately pimped helicopter, yes, but not as pimped as it could be.
no subject
Maybe he could do with some stuff like this. He's not really sure what but... it all seems fairly appealing and if other superheroes get all their state of the art suits and masks, why can't he have a few gadgets?

"What else have you got that's worth showing off?"
no subject
Arching an eyebrow, she held out her communicator, pushing a button on it which caused it to reform itself into a strange-looking gun. Another push, and it was shortly another scanner.
no subject
And holding his hand out, because people should give him things when he wants them to because he's James Bond.
no subject
Her frown says just that.
"Fairly impressive?"
no subject
"... Very impressive...?"
no subject
"Good answer."
no subject
"I thought so," he smirks back, accepting the comm and turning it over in his hands. He's just seen her use it, plus he seems to have a slight knack for these things, so he's pressing what he assumes is the one for the gun-thingy.
no subject
The button did nothing for him. Nothing at all. She grinned.
no subject
"Hm. Security system?"
no subject
"Yes, exactly. I could do the same to yours, if you wanted."
no subject
Security or not, Bond is still trying get past it because he likes to fiddle and test things out before he buys. Often that just means he accidentally destroys things, but oh well...
