brought a paintbrush

WHO: Meta Knight, Amaterasu
WHERE: Running track and field
WHEN: January 10th, 8PM
SUMMARY: Ammy and Meta Knight have themselves a duel!
WARNINGS: Naaaw. Just fighting.
FORMAT: Paragraph form

Hana had mentioned that she wasn't a sword user, but that she was still perfectly capable of fighting. Meta Knight knew, of course, that swords were not the universal weapon (how foolish would it be to assume that they were!), but he was still curious as to what she would be using.

He watched quietly from his hideout underneath the big bleachers overlooking the track and field as the remainder of the humans jogging along the track cleared out one by one. Meta Knight was very good at just watching and waiting patiently, so it hadn't been an issue. And now, too, he was waiting for his opponent to arrive, so he could emerge and make a properly dramatic entrance from the top steps of the bleachers.

Amaterasu had been looking for a fight for a while. While she preferred peaceful places, there was nothing wrong in itself with a practice spar every once in a while- just to keep her instincts and her skills sharp.

As the white and red wolf rushed through the streets to the track, a string of glowing beads surrounded her rather than the reflector she usually wore. As she arrived at the destination that Meta Knight had indicated, Amaterasu sniffed the air.

Someone was already waiting there.

While he was shorter than an opponent Ammy had expected, he seemed eager enough to fight. Since she couldn't speak as a human, the wolf merely barked in return and crouched, sinking into a familiar fighting stance.

A split second later, the clang of an invisible blade suddenly struck Meta Knight's Sword.

The Power Slash's weakness was that it only worked once- One cut and that was it. One strike, though, was usually enough to finish off a demon. Amaterasu's beads, meanwhile, snaked out like a whip from where they were circled about her neck, connected by a string of spiritual energy, aimed for Meta Knight's sword.

This warrior was as skilled as Waka proved to be, Ammy thought as she parried the attack with the beads. But a lack of projectiles was to her advantage. Springing backwards, the wolf focused, and attacked again with the rosaries

Energy beams weren't a tactic that Ammy was used to, but Snarling Beast wasn't about to let its wielder down. While the beam hit her head-on, a spinning mirror blocked the brunt of the attack. Still, it was evident that the wolf had taken a good hit as she skidded across the track. Upping her speed, Ammy charged towards Meta-Knight, striking at him with the beads for a third time.

Amaterasu growled. This swordsman, although shorter in stature in Waka, was definitely more skilled than the half-baked prophet.

Her brush techniques had been getting rusty, though. Focusing, she focused her energy on the movement of the invisible Celestial Brush, painting a tiny dot of green into existence. Out of the dot sprang a large green tree, right next to where Meta Knight stood.

She leapt onto its lower branches for a better place to aim her next attack.

OTL I fail so much

As the Celestial ink dried in Amaterasu's sight, the tree began to vanish into thin air. Jumping down from the branch, she took advantage of the moment's distraction and swung the rosaries at her opponent.
