so a shinigami and a...

WHO: Aizen, Meta Knight
WHERE: Running track and field
WHEN: January 11th, evening
SUMMARY: Aizen and Meta Knight have a duel! UNEXPECTED, HUH.
WARNINGS: Probably not.
FORMAT: Paragraph form

Another swordsman! Meta Knight was very pleased by the way his request had turned out. He'd gotten more than enough opponents to properly gauge how well he was working in this new world. It was good to know that he wasn't alone here, either, in using a sword as his weapon. Superpowers were all well and good, but as a knight he lived by his blade.

This time, he simply waited while already in view for Aizen, standing atop of the electronic soccer scoreboard at the far end of the field. Getting up there had not been an issue, thanks to his set of wings, of course.

Aizen was not expecting a small, blue thing with wings and mask for his his duel, for sure. He was expecting something at least mildly humanoid, so when he arrived at the desired address, he thought briefly that Meta Knight had stood him up. Then his eye caught the strange shape atop the scoreboard.

He'd picked up more normal clothes and was dressed lightly in khaki pants and a blue button-down shirt. one thing that stayed, however, was the katana at his side, as odd as it may look. He was too used of having the weight there to put it aside now.

"Meta Knight?" He asked, arching a curious eyebrow behind his glasses. "Not precisely what I was expecting."

That was interesting. Wings to cloak - what sort of advantages could he have with one of the other? Certainly wings had the ability of flight, but what could the cape be? Some magical ability, maybe? He put it as a side thought and rested his own hand on Kyouka Suigetsu. She was with him - she always was.

"It is not the lack of humanity that surprised me," as he wasn't human itself, it was hardly anything impressive, "but your proportions are curious, I must admit."

He would have a huge range advantage and an equally huge size disadvantage. He'd never trained against an enemy so small. "I've never fought an enemy so small, especially one built like you are."

He was also curious about what Meta Knight looked like behind the mask.

Kyouka Suigetsu chuckled, silent to everyone but him, as he drew the katana from the sheath at his side. Was he serious, she asked? Was this small little helmeted fellow serious?

The weapon felt light in his hand, comfortable - part of him. "You must be confident to be so generous," he said, bowing his head. "Allow me to thank you."

He decided to hold back on shunpo for now, but he certainly was faster than your average human being - or average shinigami for that matter. He would have to strike low, aiming for his enemy's knees - or face, in this case.

It was difficult, Aizen admitted to himself, not to wonder how exactly someone with so little reach fought. He must have tremendous speed to make up for it, he figured, or some other trick - if he was simply waddling around fighting then it didn't seem to make much sense to him at all.

Aizen moved. Fast. Not shunpo-fast, but most certainly faster than what would seem possible, and he moved casually, almost as if he wasn't trying at all.

He wasn't.

He brought the katana down, in a diagonal slash. It wasn't that he was looking to split Meta Knight in two - just to see how his reflexes worked.

Ha! His small shape and big feet allowed him to take those enormous bounding steps, big jumps, and lacking weight obviously came in handy for that speed. He liked it, though, that this guy was a mass of organs and physics-defying muscle, or something totally foreign to him. Either way, he hadn't honestly found with the katana as a katana in some time - kidou was always nicer. But at this point, he was actually enjoying this duel. He'd never fought something like this, and the chance was definitely nice.

He also noticed that instead of simply avoiding, Meta Knight actively blocked him - that was something interesting, as well. And he was fast. Aizen liked fast. He leapt back from the tiny (but sharp and intricate!) blade. Kyouka Suigetsu sang in his ears. He moved forward again, this time his slash horizontal.
