And I can guide a missile by satellite

WHO: The Major and everyone who signed up to fight in the City.
WHERE: Locations across the City.
WHEN: 11 PM Friday evening.
WARNINGS: So. Much. Violence.
SUMMARY: Operation Gotterdammerung has begun, and with it Case Schwarze: a full air and ground assault against the ImPort community designed to prevent interference with the nuke in Washington. Missiles and vampires ahoy!
FORMAT: Whatever works.
NOTES: Don't forget to add your characters' tags as they join in!

Leaning back in his chair, occasionally taking the time to dictate a response to his post on the communicator, the Major watched happily as his master plan at last unfolded. It was all worth it, he could already tell. The months of planning, the prison takeover, the theft of the bomb, the kidnapping of the Detective, all the promises he’d made to his new comrades, it was all coming together right here in front of him, in the fire and explosions of detonating missiles and attacking vampires. It was the fulfillment of his most cherished dream: a war beyond any man’s history had ever known. Reports from his crew filtered in from all around him:

”Rot Team reports that they are in position Major. Package is secure.”

”Schwarze One reports commencing attack on police station.”

”Missile hit! Confirmed hit on Turing nightclub!”

”Schwarze Five, commencing assault on the Spark Roast.”

”Confirmed missile hits on both prisons!”

He sat and listened and smiled and watched. In less than an hour the device would detonate, and America’s capital would be swallowed up in a mushroom cloud. There would have to be retaliation, retaliation greater than that after Pearl Harbor, retaliation not just at those responsible but also at those who had let it happen because they were too busy looking after their own homes. There would be war, first native against ImPort, but then as things fell apart ImPort against ImPort, native against native, war between teams, countries, movements, alliances! War upon war upon war!

“It has begun,” the Major said to himself, watching the chaos unfold on the array of screens hanging from the ceiling in front of his seat, as well as through the DEM II’s vast observation window. “The dance that cannot end! The symphony I can revel in for all time! The fire that shall never burn out!”

Below, the prelude to that symphony continued.

Edna was surprised when her door buzzer rang. Since when did minions use the door bell.

"Anger girl?!" E all but shouted into the buzzer. Her security systems wouldn't be able to tell the difference between a super and a villain.

"DAHLING!" she yelled when Brenda landed on the fence. "I can't open the gate, dahling!" She pressed another button opening the gate. "Quickly, dahling. I don't want anyone else getting in."

Brenda yelped as the gate popped open, tumbling off of it into the yard, then rushing to help the mechanisms close faster as the horde rushed the gap. Just one slipped through, quickly dispatched when Brenda kicked it's knees out from beneath it and both it's legs broke at odd angles.

The zombie still moved, dragging itself across the ground after her, but an Anger Girl on foot is far faster than a zombie on hands and torso, especially when she's booking it for the front door of Edna's house as fast as she can go.

She scaled the front steps in two strides and knocked urgently, looking back to see how the horde was faring against the gate.

late! sorry

Edna scurried over to the front door to open all of the locks when Brenda started her trek. By the time there was a knock she only had one left before the door flew open.

"Come in, dahling, come in, quickly now." She said shooing her inside and slamming the door back shut. It was a good thing that Brenda hadn't tried to scale the fence as it was electrified at the top, which the horde would find out if they tried to climb.

Unfortunately most of the outside security measures were for show, like the spot lights and warning sirens that were now going off. "Are you okay, dahling?"

I think I just trumped you on the 'late' front so no worries. <3

Brenda nodded, gulping air, bent over with hands on her knees. She was less winded by the run and more by her kneejerk fear of zombies. (She blamed Paco and Jaime and their love of all things Romero for that one.)

"I'm fine, just... augh." Reaching up she unlatched her helmet and pulled it off, tucking it under her arm. "I thought I'd have time to get you to do a quick repair for me but guess I was wrong."

Brenda was many things but zombie proof wasn't one of them, though she was pretty sure the suit Edna had built for her was bite-resistant and all that.

"Are YOU alright?"

Edna stood back to give her some time to catch her breath. Clearly super speed was not one of her powers.

"I'm fine, dahling," Edna said, already looking over her outfit for signs of what needed to be fixed. "Next time you need repairs bring them over as soon as it happens not right when you need it working."

"How many are out there? Did they follow you? Or did they just come on their own?"
