And I can end the planet in a holocaust
WHO: Rot Team and those who will try to stop them.
WHERE: Washington D.C.
WHEN: Shortly after this post
WARNINGS: Violence and desecration
SUMMARY: The Major was counting on the heroes of the City to not act in force to stop the nuke. He was wrong. Time for a monumental battle.
FORMAT: Whatever works.
NOTES: Don't forget to add your character's tags as they join in!
Welcome to Washington D.C., heroes and villains. Since it’s so late at night, there aren’t many bystanders as Chronos teleports Rot Team into position on the National Mall. The security personnel who are present stand no chance against the supervillains the Major has assembled to ensure his plan’s success. There are screams and sirens as the chaos begins, the air full of panic and frantic phone calls. Beneath the Atlantic Arch of America’s World War Two memorial, the nuclear bomb continues its deadly countdown. If it goes off, the world will be forever changed, and not for the better. Whatever defence plans the Capital has, they don’t include a way to stop nuclear-armed supervillains, at least, not within less than an hour.
It’s all up to the heroes. They have to get to that bomb in time, and they’ll have to fight their way past every bad guy the Major has been able to recruit. No pressure, heroes. Time to save the world.

let me know if I should correct this @_@
And that shows immediately when his ears pick up the shing of a blade being drawn, and Saitou can't help another grin. No staff this time, hm?
Though his Mind's Eye ability isn't there for nothing. With a quick twist of his torso his sword clashes to meet Slade's weapon, shifting the rest of his body to face Slade. Up-close battles were fine, as well. He was certain Slade hadn't forgotten his point-blank attack from before. He was perfectly fine with using that again. ]
You brought a sword.
it is marvelous :3
Call it nostalgia.

:>
Saitou blocks Slade's attack again and brings one of his legs up for a high kick to his mask. Perhaps the armor he wore would make damage minimal, but it would at least throw him back a few steps to give Saitou more leverage and distance. And enough room to attempt another Gatotsu aimed for his chest. ]

prolly last tag cause it's getting harder to write well enough to RP ._.
awww bb <3 take your time

And he realizes he's waiting again for Saitou's attack. Whatever Slade's expecting, he's uncertain, but the element of surprise worked best in larger areas of battle. The closed-off room their first encounter had taken place made it difficult for anything not point-blank and up-front. But now there was much more space, and space was something Saitou preferred.
A moment later he decides the right second to strike, seeming to disappear completely and reappearing at Slade's back, making a strong downwards slash toward his spine. ]

Slade may have had a goal to break a few ribs, but again Saitou shifts his body position to where Slade mostly hits his side. He knows at least one's going to crack, but one he can spare. It wasn't anything he hadn't experienced before. He again attempts a downwards slash toward his chest, ducking down to dodge wherever Slade would strike next. ]

/might go to semi-finals for latest tag ever
/latches onto forever. also I think Saitou can get in his finishing move in the next 2 tags, maybe?
XD if that sounds good to you
It does! Feel free to take him down in your next tag! c:
XD kk
Especially when Saitou thrusts his sword forward in a near-perfect Zeroshiki stance, right where that blood had spurted out of Slade's chest. Make that wound even worse. Tear that hole in his side that Slade had avoided their last encounter, rip enough skin and muscle apart right by his ribcage. Render him immobile. I have you. He couldn't dodge something this point-blank twice. This was the end and both of them knew it. ]
WOO
Fffft XD
He remains silent in the meantime, still looking Slade over, before turning his head just the slightest to take out his phone and make an anonymous 911 call. It wasn't something he did for his opponents. It was more something Battousai would do. But this was the City and not Kyoto, and there was nothing Saitou could do about that. Better a criminal be apprehended than free. Better to have his deathmatch settled to his satisfaction, as well.
It's interesting what he appears like without his mask, Saitou quirking one eyebrow just slightly. There was no mocking in his body language, or tone. That had been a worthy fight and one he wondered at times he would lose. ]
Medics are on their way.
<3!
Well played.

The same.
[ It's odd. Normally right now he would have sent a killing blow. He would have given another warrior an honorable death in battle. However even his Zeroshiki hadn't meant to be immediately fatal. Slade's wounds would kill him, yes, if not tended to soon, but in Saitou's world? In any world where death reigned? That Zeroshiki would have ripped off his torso instead of just ripping a hole in his side. And that would have been the end of it.
Maybe living in the City for over a year was getting to him.
That was a thought for another day, though. This was his part in keeping the City safe. The Shinsengumi would be proud.
... Maybe she would be, too. ]

Do you...know...what you forgot?
/sneaks in onnnne tiny tag before bed
Saitou's gaze is hard, tone steely and obvious undertones of fury directed at more than just him. ]
My family.
/sneaks on a tag b4 exam
I like your tag :O AND GOOD LUCK BB o/
A heavy sigh leaves him before he realizes it, turning away and saying nothing as well. There was nothing to say. The only thing that he could cling to, now, from home, was the fact that he still remembered his wife. Although his behavior here had him acting more like she was dead. Technically, yes she was. He was a widower in this era but at least he knew he was one.
Just as silently he pulls out a cigarette from his pocket, lighting it without a word and simply waiting for the medics to arrive. When they showed he'd slip back into the shadows, see if his aid was needed elsewhere. His work was done, here. ]
thank you! on both counts! c: I think that's a wrap!
