Who: Rue, and OPEN.
When: Thursday afternoon, right around sunset.
Where: Central Park, the location of approximately half of all Tutucast logs.
Warnings: Unless you have something against birds, none.
Summary: Rue takes her baby raven to the park in order to learn him flying properly.
Format: Quicklog killed my parents, so PARAGRAPH.
Really, Rue mused, he was more trouble than he was worth. Not only had he frightened Mytho the other day, but, now that he was getting big enough, Wolfang had begun to learn how to fly, and was using his newfound abilities to wreak havoc all over her apartment. Not a night went by when she didn't come home to find that he'd either knocked something off the bookshelf, torn something up, or gotten himself stuck up there. If she were a crueler person, she would have thrown him out already, but instead, she reasoned that he needed more room to fly, at least for a little while. Maybe he'd use up all his energy that way, although she doubted it.
So, she packed him up in his towel-lined cardboard box, and rode the bus down to the park. Surprisingly, he hadn't protested much on the way, only scratching a little on the top of the box to see if it would open. Rue arrived at the park right before sunset, a good time, she thought. Not many people would be out this late. Kneeling down, she set the box on the ground, and opened it up, watching as Wolfgang hopped curiously out.
"Are you happy now, idiot?" she said. "Now you can destroy as much as you want."

"Hi," he said as he came near, friendly smile in place. He really like spending time with animals, so he hoped the girl wouldn't mind his presence...

"Hello," she said, eyes going to the raven again as he squawked at the stranger. "Can I help you?"

Ness was certainly nothing if not polite.

Wolfgang, either understanding her familiar unpleasant tone, or getting bored, chose that moment to fly over to her, landing on her shoulder and giving her a friendly caw.

He didn't notice the older girl and her raven, and came dangerously close to bumping into her as he passes her. And he doesn't even bother to acknowledge that he does, completely absorbed in talking to and playing with his dog.

"Wolfgang, stop that!" Rue called as soon as she saw him bite him, but the raven went on ignoring her, determined to figure out this mystery.

Pokey took a stance too, kicking at the raven when he could and missing. "Hey! Get out of here, stupid!" the boy shouted, trying to get the raven away from his pet.
Finally, the tail had had enough and, leering up, hissed and struck out at the raven.

"Serves you right," she said. "I told you to stop."

"Hey lady, is your bird alright?" he asked.

Dynamus, being the curious little abomination he is, scurried over towards Rua and began to sniff her curiously.

"My name is Rue," she said. "Nice to meet you."

Dynamus sniffed the girls hand. It paused a moment, and sniffed again, as if it didn't understand something. It was odd; usually he just started slobbering on anyone after sniffing their hand.

Dynamus continued sniffing a bit more, hesitating for a moment and twitching its head. More slowly than usual, it began to lick Rue's hand, as if testing to see how the girl would react.
