SUMMARY: Hang out on the town on a nice Saturday with the pink thing!

Mew was out and about on the town again today! Which wasn't different from most days, but still. She planned to wander and reach a lot of different places: stores, parks, museums, plain old City streets. She had a long day ahead of her, and was not about to waste it! Maybe she would run into people she knew while out and about, too! That would be fun!

As she was about to leave the house, Mew thought the events of the last couple of weeks over. Things were certainly interesting here in the City!

[OOC: so, basically Mew is wandering around from 10 AM to 7PM. Give a time and a setting in a reply, and Mew will get to you there! Seriously, any location works. Parks, streets, stores, whatever. Except bars and strip clubs and the like, but that's kinda a given. Have at!]

For the past half hour or so, Keith had been standing not far from the chess tables in the park, watching the people play. Seeing people play was always a strange experience for him, but in this case, at least, it seemed to make sense. This was clearly a game meant to train the mind, and he might even consider picking it up himself.

He was watching so intently he'd forgotten to guard his surroundings or watch out for anyone who was approaching.

[identity profile] prodigitalson.livejournal.com 2010-04-25 01:36 am (UTC)(link)
Absorbed as he was in the games, already discerning the strategies behind them, Keith almost missed Mew's approach. But once she was close enough, he looked sharply away from the games to focus on her. His gaze was direct and not particularly friendly. Sure, she looked like an innocent girl, but around here, that meant nothing. She could easily be an imPort and therefore dangerous in her own right.

He said nothing just yet. He merely waited for her to approach.

[identity profile] prodigitalson.livejournal.com 2010-04-25 01:45 am (UTC)(link)
But he did remember. Keith had a good memory, and while he didn't recall this girl's face, he did recall her voice. So she was an imPort after all. Well, that didn't mean he couldn't be civil to her. There was no point in stirring up trouble.

He inclined his head a little in greeting. "You're the one from the world with 'Pokemon,'" he said. "Hello."

[identity profile] prodigitalson.livejournal.com 2010-04-26 01:16 am (UTC)(link)
As far as Keith was concerned, it was a neutral thing. He had no reason not to remember her; it had been less than a week, after all. He regarded her expressionlessly at her enthusiastic response--definitely no returning smile from him. "Yes. From your voice. I still don't know your name." It wasn't exactly an invitation for her to give it to him--he was just stating a fact. But he knew she could interpret it as one.

[identity profile] prodigitalson.livejournal.com 2010-04-26 04:33 am (UTC)(link)
"There's no need to--"

No need to apologize, Keith was going to say, but then Mew introduced herself and he...well, he didn't quite freeze; that would be expressing actual emotion. He just went even more blank than he had been a moment ago.

Finally, he spoke again. "That's your name. Mew. Not what you are?"

[identity profile] prodigitalson.livejournal.com 2010-04-28 11:50 pm (UTC)(link)
"In that case." Keith looked down at her. "It's a pleasure to meet you, Mew." There was still no friendliness in his voice; he sounded almost grave despite his polite words.

Actually, him speaking that way to a little pink-haired girl was kind of funny. Not that he would realize that.

The sky

It had been months for Calvin since he'd been able to fly, so now that he was back in the City STUPENDOUS MAN was once again boldly soaring above the streets, reveling in his stupendous powers, excited, hyper, and trying to take his mind off Hobbes. He saw a weird pink bubble floating through the air below him, and swooped down for a closer look.

By the Moons of Jupiter! What new amazement has the Advocate of Liberty discovered now? Filled with the intrepid spirit, he zooms in to investigate! In this case, 'investigate' meant flying up to the floating pink bubble with the girl in it and poking it experimentally.

...I can't remember if they've spoken before XD

Our hero regards the strange creature. It appears to be unresponsive, possibly the result of an underdeveloped intellect. She was a girl, after all. "Hey! Hey, are you awake in there, or what? Hellooooooo!"

Guess they haven't, then

The being is attempting communication, but the vigilant vigilante is ever-wary for a trap! And he didn't like being laughed at. Calvin scanned the bubble at the microscopic level with his Stupendous Vision, trying to figure out what the heck it was. "Who are you? Why are you in a bubble?"

'Stupendous Man' hovered in front of her, his arms crossed and his brow furrowed. "Mew? What kind of name is that? Are you a cat or something?"

So, as it happened, there was a boy in the park, tossing a baseball in the air and catching it. It was just around noon, the perfect time to play outside.

If only he had someone to play with!

"Hi!"

Ness was...not the most talkative of people, but he was certainly friendly! He caught the ball and held it as she approached, since that was the polite thing to do.

[identity profile] soonillbe.livejournal.com 2010-04-26 05:45 pm (UTC)(link)
"I'm Ness!" Oh, and enthusiasm. He had that in spades.

"You wanna play catch?"

[identity profile] soonillbe.livejournal.com 2010-04-29 12:19 am (UTC)(link)
Ness grinned and tossed her the ball before taking a few steps back.

"Throw easy since we don't have gloves!"

I can remember my goddamn font.

Pokey had work to do. If he wanted to help protect the city, it was probably a good idea that he get some kind of clue on its general lay out. So, for the last hour or so, he'd been walking through the streets, notebook in hand, doting down anything he found interesting about the area: business, landmarks, small details in the streets such as potholes or cracks...anything to differentiate what he was seeing in front of him. Any small thing in the layout of the city could help him to try and figure out ways to exploit it.

Eventually the boy wore himself out with his exploration and note-taking, and chose to stop at a small ice cream shop on his way. Taking a seat at one of the outside booths, he slurped slowly on his root-beer float while reviewing the notes he had written down.

Toy Store Rooftop Around 6 P.M.

Ken was sitting on the roof and had needed some time to meditate. It had seemed that hardly a week had gone by without some manner of threat to the city attacking. Zombies then vampires even a dragon. It had seemed the young boy had been using his powers almost constantly in the past few months and yet the more he had pushed himself the more his head hurt.

But today was a perfect spring day and the young Digidestined finally had some time to enjoy himself. He knew just the spot at the roof of the toy store where no one would see him. Feeling the cool spring breeze he slowly breathed in a deep breath as Wormmon rested in his lap. His eyes started to take on a blue glow as a telekinetic force bubble appeared around him.

He raised an eyebrow as to his surprise he sensed someone else arriving.

The park. Central Park. Plenty of people were playing chess, playing card, playing games. But they didn't play with the little pink-haired girl. The pink hair being a give away that she was an ImPort; parents shooed their children away from her when she got close.

She doesn't care. She really didn't, truly. She has her cards, which she shuffles almost rhythmically. Who needs friends when she's her.

...

She could really use a playmate.

Horrible House, before Mew leaves

[identity profile] badhorsefan.livejournal.com 2010-04-29 12:28 pm (UTC)(link)
Frowning, Billy leaned over the stove, poking and prodding at something that really shouldn't be that color of green. He stood up and turned the temperature down somewhat, watching as the mixture bubbled. He had minored in chemistry, but that really didn't mean he knew what he was doing. Out of the corner of his eye, he saw a flash of pink.

"Hey Mew? Could you grab a fire extinguisher? I'm not sure if this'll work." He put his goggles down over his eyes, stirring the mixture some more. Better safe than sorry.
