WHO: Sally Blevins and Roberto DaCosta
WHERE: the Institute
WHEN: Sunday afternoon

SUMMARY: Sally and Roberto hang out.
FORMAT: Para to start and then whatever Kris wants!

Sally was happily curled up on the Institute's couch. After her encounter with Sabretooth the previous day, all she wanted was a chance to unwind and try to forget the entire incident. She'd been able to when Sam had took her flying in the evening, but when she woke up it had been one of the first things on her mind. She was adamant that the overgrown cat wouldn't get under her skin.

So she laid on the couch and flipped through the channels, hopeful there would be something mindless to watch.

Hopefully something like Magnum PI? Roberto flew downstairs to watch that massive big screen of Worthington's, but was surprised to see that Sally had beat him to it.

Aw man!

Bouncing back and forth from either foot, Bobby looked at Sally urgently. "Are you just channel surfing, menina?"

"Well," Sally started, still clicking away. "There is nothing on."

Was that Magnum PI that she just passed?

"Not unless you want to watch evangelical sermons or informercials. So I'm looking for something that isn't either of those things."

And there it goes again.

Antsy, Roberto plopped down next to her and blurted out. "Change it back!"

He wasn't trying to be rude, but come on! Don't tease him with Magnum! It was practically like wagging a steak in front of a starving puppy dog.

"Uh...to what?"

Sally flipped the channels back and passed Magnum one more time, settling on an informercial.

"I really don't think you need a 5-in-1 egg slicer."

Roberto practically flailed when he'd seen that the theme song had ended and Tom Selleck was already starting his adventure without him. "Back, back, back!"

ARGH! Get a grip, Sally!

OMG! She tossed him the remote.

"Why don't you just find it."

Because obviously he cared a little more than she did about what they watched.

"Success!" he cheered, and quickly flipped on the amazingly 80s television show. Magnum showed up on the screen--bushy mustache, ball cap, and all.

"This beats infomercials anyday!"

Sally stared at the screen. "Is this the Magnum PI show that you love so much?" she asked, pretty sure she already knew she was correct.

She was also failing to see it's appeal.

"It is! Ever since I was a kid, menina," Roberto chirped happily and took no notice of her lack of interest. Really, he tried to push Magnum on just about EVERYONE, and the only people who liked it -- or at least pretended to - were Sam and Dani. Those were real friends right there!

"Me and Sam watch it all the time, too," Roberto babbled on before turning and looking at Sally. "I totally know, by the way."

Sally was trying to figure out the purpose of the mustache. "Know what?" she asked, distracted by the television. "Does he ever cut that thing off? Its distracting."

"It's the 80's!" Roberto defended. "Do you even know how studly that was back then? Magnum has ladies fawning over him every episode, so I know he's doing something right!"

The nerve of some people! How can she not appreciate the 'stache?!

Sally made a face. "I prefer my guys without the mustaches. Especially one's that are that big."

It practically took over the man's face.

Roberto looked over at her and smirked. "That's because you prefer them blonde, country, and with big ears."

Oh yeah, Sally; Sam totally can't keep a secret from him ever.

"His ears aren't that big," she defended, and then realized exactly what Roberto had said. "Wait. I mean. What. Uh..."

Sally crossed her arms and sunk down a little on the couch. "I hate you both."

"Nuh-uh," Roberto teased immaturely. "You liiiiike him. You have a cruuuush on him. You want to give him your coooooties."

Where was a pillow to whack him over the head with when Sally really needed one?

"Did he explain how we kind of want to keep it on the down low?"

"He might've," Bobby shrugged, and looked back at the television casually. Now he was just yanking her chain. "Do I look like the kind of person who would blab secrets, Skids?"

"Do you really want me to answer that question, Bobby?" She rolled her eyes, still pouting. "You don't...do you think it's okay?"

He was Sam's best friend; she figured his opinion mattered. Especially since she was pretty sure if her best friend ever knew they might be finished as friends.

Bobby blinked. "Why wouldn't I think that's okay? My buddy needs a lady friend!"

One that isn't Tabitha Smith either. Roberto was still sour over that tramp, thank you very much.

Sally stared at him for a moment before nearly toppling off the couch with laughter. "Lady friend?"

God it was hard to breathe.

"Who says that?"

Roberto just stared, and didn't understand why that was so funny. "Uh...everyone?"

"I think most people just say girlfriend." She couldn't stop laughing.

Roberto still didn't get it. "I know what it's called, I was being casual?"

He shook his head and shrugged. Whatever.

"Point remains the same, I guess."

Sally grinned and settled back onto the couch, sobering. "I won't break his heart."

"You better not. Then we'd have issues," Roberto wagged his finger in her face. What he really wanted to say was that she couldn't do nearly as good a job a ripping out Sam's heart as Tabby did...2...3 times now? But he didn't. Roberto guessed Sally and Tabby were still friends, or something.

"Sam is delicate. He also secretly enjoys black leather, so you know what you can do if you ever want to surprise him!"

HAHAHA. That was meant to be a joke, but Roberto was totally serious. Sally probably wouldn't be able to tell, though, so she could feel free to smack him.
