gimme some friggin shelter
WHO: Two Mu and the shortest demon and special guest star THE GUY WHO KIND OF OWNS THE ROOM HEY!!
WHERE: Yusuke your apartment is just the crossroads of sparkles and angryfaces I guess
WHEN: AAaaa like 4/28 after the drama over here
WARNINGS: Sparkles in stereo. Angryfaces. CUTE LITTLE FLUFFY MICE???
SUMMARY: Hey Jomy so I've been staying with demonic high schoolers since I got here oh--look there's one of them he's totally friendly trust me i mean ok he mistakes windows for doors but...
FORMAT: No. But posting order Bloo/Babiesman/Shortypuff?
They teleported. It was easer to evade tracking that way; Matsuka, Mu though he was, was no Type Blue. The skill to trace something moving so suddenly was most likely beyond his abilities, and the fight was over. For now.
The whole thing left a deep knot of dread and worry in Soldier Blue's stomach. If there was any confusion at all about this situation, Keith Anyan wouldn't reveal it. He'd only reacted, accused, glared back at them with those dark, unrelenting eyes. There was no chance for reason. Blue himself had wanted only to flee--even going so far as to demand the retreat from Jonah. That young Mu...It bothered him so, that position he was in, but...At that time, in that place where a machine cackled quietly in the background...
That was behind them now. Before them was the quiet and unlit room Yusuke had graciously allowed Blue to stay in. He tried to swallow down his ever-growing worry--this was too close to their attacker--and focus. Calm, concentration...He would be alert to the world, not his own cares now.
"Here," he breathed moments after they arrived, lifting his hand from Jomy's shoulder. "There is another who stays here," Where he is right now, I don't know, he realized, scanning the empty living area. "He is a friend. We will be safe for the moment."

He wasn't tired--not in the physical sense; he didn't have the same limitations all other Mu had--but he was emotionally drained. Lost, anxious. Disillusioned. Everything seemed like a spiral testing and urging him to give up. Just when he thought that all would have been well...
Jomy's attention was brought back to reality when he felt Blue's hand lift. A soft blink prompted him to take a closer look at their surroundings, Rain still shivering on his shoulder, keeping questions and laments of this strange new terrifying place to itself.
His response to the other Type Blue was a simple mutter. "I see." He paused. "... They won't mind...?" The question felt as necessary as it felt absurd. What if they did mind? Would he just resort to wandering further until he came across whatever else this city threw at him?

It wasn't that Hiei was incapable of finding his own food...it was just that he found it more convenient to mooch off of Yusuke and Kurama. No doubt he would end up filching something fresh from the fridge that Yusuke had intended as a ramen ingredient.

Moving to see beyond the dividing wall to the kitchen, Blue saw the demon rummaging and let out a sigh. "Hiei..." He stopped, turning to have both rooms in his peripherals, his head turned more to Jomy. "Hiei, do you know where Yusuke is at the moment?"

Still, he could sense the weary tension between them, so he spared a moment to actually answer Blue's question. Though his headband was in place--it almost always was, in the City, to make moving among humans easier--blue light pulsed from underneath it as he used his Jagan eye to seek out Yusuke's spirit energy.
"Out," he said after a moment, focusing his attention back on Blue. "Didn't he tell you where he was going?"
no subject
"We'll wait."
no subject
Rain, on the other hand, shifted nervously on Jomy's shoulder, still very shaken by recent events. It focused on Hiei, unsure of what to make of the stranger, until it finally gathered the courage to mutter a telepathic question. "What are waiting for?" A pause; Jomy turned his head slightly to his companion. "Can we go home?"
no subject
"And how are things?" His voice was lower than usual, which was perhaps a warning in itself.
no subject
"Things have changed," he said at length, shifting in place before moving back over to Jomy, giving the mouse on his shoulder a soft look. "Going home...will be difficult. It may take a long time." He offered his hand to Rain. "But we won't stay here too long, I don't think." It would be too much to ask, even if Yusuke insisted.
He glanced back over at Hiei, frowning. "Things...They won't affect you. It's nothing to worry about, on your part."
no subject
He simply nodded at Blue, a hand going up to his shoulder to brush a finger reassuringly on Rain's head. He could try to explain the situation--what little he could understand--but he knew it would only bring grief to the mouse.
"Blue..." He didn't feel it was correct to involve Hiei; Blue had made it clear that he was to be kept out of their ordeal. Words spoke into the other Soldier's mind. What now?

"You know, I gotta work on that entrance." He paused, looking around the rather full room. "Oh. Party at my place and no one tells me? That's cold, guys.
no subject
"Yusuke..." This is no enemy, Jomy. "I'm sorry. There was little time to forewarn you." And nowhere else he knew to go, honestly. He shifted to stand at Jomy's side. "This is Jomy. Jomy Marcus Shin, from my own world. Ah--Rain, as well," he added at the peripheral sight of the mouse's ear twitching.

His attention returned to the newer arrival. He nodded, unsure. "Hello." A pause. "... I apologize for appearing uninvited."

Hiei's attitude when Yusuke was around was...only subtly different, really, but made it clear that he was following someone else's lead.
no subject
As for being up to something, Yusuke wasn't wholly convinced of that. Hiei tended to err on the side of paranoia. Blue could have as many people from his world over as he wanted. Yusuke didn't mind.
"Up to what?" Yusuke sounded more amused than anything else.
no subject
"Staying here could be a risk now." He looked directly at Yusuke with an unwavering stare, a kind of expression as if to say you know why. "If not to ourselves, then to the others that live here. It's best to leave."
Keith Anyan resides above, he thought to Jomy. The Mu as well. If the human wishes to pursue us again... His expression saddened and he lowered his head to shield it from the inquisitive eyes in the room. Jomy...There's so much to understand here so quickly...
no subject
He widened his eyes for a brief moment, unsure whether it had been noticed by the two residents, but quickly tried to collect himself. He didn't want to cause any alarm; it was Blue's place to speak. Despite that, he let his gaze lower to the floor, frowning and pressing his lips.
Where will we go?
no subject
Hiei's tone was blatantly mocking.
no subject
He looked back to Blue, crossing his arms stubbornly. The first instinct, as always, was to dig in his heels and insist Blue stay. Yusuke was strong enough to protect all of them. But if the rest of the MAC was in danger...
"You know you can always call me, right?" He said slowly, slight frown on his face. "If you need some fire power."
no subject
Blue looked back over at Yusuke and Hiei. It bothered him that he felt a stronger familiarity to them than to someone of his own kind. That wasn't how it was supposed to be--back in the other world. But everything was different here, wasn't it?
"Please...If you cross paths with that man..." Do what? Turn the other cheek? Strike when struck? "Don't react for anyone's sake but your own."
no subject
It was strange, however. Many years had passed since he had taken over the leadership that Soldier Blue exhibited...
no subject
"You'd be better protected here."
He knew Yusuke would never leave a friend undefended, after all.
no subject
"The tiny demon is right, Blue. You and your friends can cram in here, if you want. I got plenty of room."
He realized he was starting to sound like a broken record on that point. But he may or may not be being listened to about it.
no subject
"Always generous," he said in reply to Yusuke, smiling faintly. "But the distance may be safer than anything. At least...until the atmosphere changes for the better." Somehow he doubted that, too...but the Soldier in him couldn't stray too far away from a Mu in danger. Jonah Matsuka was, without a doubt, in danger to some degree. It demanded attention. But first, Jomy. The successor, if memories here were to be trusted.
"If that's so, then...Maybe. And until we can teleport again..." Blue looked over at Jomy. "We'll stay for a brief moment."
no subject
Blue, are you sure?
no subject
"Who are you calling tiny?"
no subject
Yusuke looked transparently pleased with Blue's verdict. He dropped down on the sofa, making a vague, all-encompassing gesture with his hand.
"You guys can just make yourselves at home."
no subject
There is no danger from them, he assured, nodding to assert it. Yusuke has a good heart. And Hiei, well...Blue only cast a fleeting glance in that direction before guiding Jomy to sit down. "It's unwise to teleport so frequently. So just for a moment, until there's been enough time to...recharge..." And then everything would have to be explained. It was going to be an exhausting evening.
no subject
With that, Rain suddenly jumped from his shoulder. A surprised movement from Jomy took place right before Rain made its way to the window, peering curiously at the giant bird outside. Who are you?, it asked.
"Rain-!"
no subject
He was distracted by Rain's movement too, though. Was it a spirit beast as well?
no subject
Puu and Yusuke didn't share conciousness, not in the traditional sense, but Puu was the expression of Yusuke's inner self. He was Yusuke, and they were tied up and tangled together in weird ways that Yusuke himself didn't understand. That he could hear things addressed to Puu didn't surprise him, not really.
"His name's Puu." Yusuke answered, only a trace of uncertainty in his voice. "He's my spirit beast."
no subject
Arms wrapped around the mouse, he turned his head back to Yusuke. "Spirit beast?"
