Open Log
WHO: Warren Worthington III and OPEN
WHERE: Anywhere in the City; the Institute, All That Jazz, the Park, the sky, patrolling--you name it
WHEN: ALL DAY TODAY
WARNINGS: Will update if needed
SUMMARY: Warren just got back from Vegas and has lots of errands and stuff to catch up on. Come bump into him somewhere/anywhere/anyhow I would love CR of the new or old variety. I'm up for sparring, socializing, and even fighting if you'd rather play with the Horseman of Death. Just specify in your subject!
FORMAT: Anything you want! More info under the cut, for context's sake. I would love for multiple threads too, FYI, so just pick a time throughout his day!
[A trip out of state for three days put Warren behind on his usual scheduled activities, so today he'd been working on getting caught up on that. The morning found him at the Xavier Institute, collecting his bills, training, and running through an exercise in the Danger Room.
Later, he found himself walking (and flying) the streets and in and out of various stores and banks. Picking up coffee, especially, was a necessity, especially before he headed to the bar tohang out work for most of the evening.
After that was a mash up of patrolling and hitting up a few more bars here and there for drinks. Warren, being the naturally social creature that he was, had no problem stopping and chatting to people along the way.
The night, as usual, ended very late.]

Institute's DR/early morning/Death maybe?
She's currently trying to use the energy from her shield to blast the various people attacking from the air. Its a lot harder when everything is moving.]

Upon approaching, he's already shifted into his Archangel form and overrides the safety to enter and join Sally. He doesn't say anything to her when he comes in, however. He simply takes to the air and starts tearing apart holograms along with her.]
no subject
So she keeps her focus on the holograms and tries to not blast him when she let's her power shoot out.]
no subject
You're getting good at that.
no subject
[She increases her speed as she skates up an incline, and then pushes her force field down into a skateboard so she can glide in the air for a few moments before landing back on the ground. Then, she continues to slide along, blasting at the holograms, and watching him fly.]
You're...good at that too.
no subject
[At least not the aiming and flying part. It was more like controlling the maiming that was the problem. He loops around and puts himself practically in reverse before slamming his wings through the equivalent of a steal wall and stabbing the holograms hiding behind it.]
Though the difficulty level isn't so high, I have to say.
[Was that a challenge in his voice? It was!]
no subject
[And oh she heard that challenge.]
I'm not allowed to override security measures, but feel free.
[Sally is fairly certain that her force field will protect her from any damage. It's held up pretty well against everything else life's ever thrown at her.]
no subject
It's programmed. I just do it.
[She gets a tense shrug as he glances away and heads toward another hologram.]
It's hard to explain, I guess. Moving's easy, and aiming and striking is easy. The rest is a bit complicated.
no subject
Does it hurt when your feathers go away?
[She strikes out at the holograms on the ground, letting her shield fall so she can utilize the staff.]
no subject
[A bitch. The worst. He absolutely loathed that feeling.]
no subject
[She slides along the floor, swiping at holograms with the staff.]
But only some people can force it to happen to you, right? And they're not here, are they?
no subject
[He says that in agreement, but what he doesn't say is that sometimes it just forces itself. It's no better if he's scared or threatened, or just around too much death and chaos in general.]
It's fine, though. I'm used to it.
[Lies.]
no subject
Uh huh.
[She jumps into the air, formulating her skateboard as she goes so she can glide for a few moments, cutting through more holograms.]
But you can force yourself to change back, right? You get to choose which way to be? Sort of?
no subject
Most of the time, sure. I train almost every morning with my team like this and there isn't a problem. When I'd gone to DC though, the guy I fought was pretty nasty. I physically couldn't change back for awhile after that.
no subject
That had to hurt. But you got better, or are you still feeling repercussions from it?
no subject
[Frowns as he turns mid air and slashes three holograms in half.]
I guess it's pretty bad when you don't know what to expect from yourself anymore.
no subject
[Glides in the air for longer than she has been, blasting holograms with her shield again.]
no subject
[Frown, and another slash.]
no subject
Does it get harder to deal with sometimes?
no subject
Most of the time, yes. I've done some...well, things I'm sure you wouldn't want to hear about because of the programming.
no subject
[She looks up at him.]
Crazy Dazzler kind of showed me one of the things you did on the network. I didn't look at it too long.
no subject
You saw that?
[He's assuming he knows which one she's talking about.]
no subject
[She cannot believe he just let the fire hit him and so she glides up a little so she's level with him.]
And well, yeah. But only like twenty seconds.
[She couldn't stomach watching anymore than that.]
Then I kind of yelled at crazy Dazzler.
no subject
I...sorry you had to see that. That was sort of an extreme case, but...
[Still doesn't excuse anything, he knows.]
no subject
[She really hopes that isn't what his Death side normally does.]
