There was too much. Too much to explain, ask, understand, learn...Too much at once. From the moment that Jomy had arrived, things began rushing forward so fast that Blue found himself without footing or bearing, all the while trying to keep hold and find something to anchor him. The notion of Soldier was what ended up driving him, as it always did. The Soldier takes care of the Mu, and they were here now. He had to see to their safety.

Yet Jonah Matsuka sits with the man who wants our kind eradicated, he reminded himself grimly. So partial to hope, Blue was feeling that sinking notion of doubt and despair. He had to push it aside, all of it. He was not the only Mu in the room.

The lamp only managed to light half of the dingy room they'd found vacant. It wasn't the first time he'd tresspassed in this City, but it was the first time he'd done so alone; he faintly wished Claude was there to make light of things. As it was, though, he wasn't, and it was just the pair of them. Or three--the small, quivering animal on Jomy's shoulder was just as lost. He had to be of aid, somehow, yet somehow the silence still stretched out until it was all but suffocating him, demanding a break.

"Jomy," he started, already unable to think of what to say next. He hesitated, drifting across the room to sit down. "There's a lot to discuss."

A nod. His gaze lowered; his mind displayed more uncertainty. A certain level of concern - fear? - of what he would get for an answer.

"... What do you remember?"

It took him a while to answer. It wasn't as much a question of wrapping his head around this information as it was giving it due time to sink in. What Blue said wasn't entirely new, but close. It had the same effect.

"... I see."

Jomy nodded. Things were hopeful, despite the conflict of opinions between the younger ones and the elders. There was a bright future ahead of them, they had found that which could become their new home... but Jomy couldn't bring himself to smile for it, not here. He had hoped that Blue would have been able to see it for himself, one day, in very different circumstances...

"Yes." His gaze finally lifted to meet Blue's. "A lot has happened." There were occasional pauses as he spoke. "It's been twelve years since we had to leave Ataraxia, in my time. The others--the elders--they helped me be a better Soldier." Rain laid down and curled its tail around itself, finally giving in to exhaustion. "I tried to reach out to humans... those who were in space. I hoped it would help create a path to understanding one another." But it didn't. Instead, they were found and attacked. "We had to keep hiding."

A long moment of silence. "We found a planet, abandoned by humans. Physis... she saw a future for us there. She named it Nazca."

Jomy's eyes quickly lifted to look back at Blue, incapable of hiding his surprise. A moment passed in silence. From everything that happened, the bond that Physis and Blue shared was one of the few things Jomy had been genuinely sure of. They had been the first sight and the first sign he'd witnessed that testified the existence of Mu. That dream in his childhood, where Physis told Blue of the planet Terra once again, had been the prelude to everything that came to be. When Blue became unreachable to his people, she had been their guiding voice. A gentle, discreet and invaluable presence.

This was the first time he realized Blue had never met her. One more harsh realization of what this universe had done... Rather, what it had undone.

"... Our fortune teller." He paused. "She's very dear to us." To you, he thought. "She's been with the Mu for a long time... Much longer than I have."
