SUMMARY: A disc containing the data of an A.I. program is hidden in Washington D.C. If there was ever a group that could be called a crack team, it's the folks she asked to go get it back.

[The filtered post has just gone up, and the race is on. You can try to team up or take out your competitors, but either way, somebody's going to have to get there first. Oh, and not to mention those strange phone calls you may have been getting. But one way or another you're going to have to fight for your right to party your place at the front. [He took her smile as permission to laugh. Despite his fear, his doubt for survival, the tension dispelled immediately.]

It's something. It's not everyday you fly. I mean-- it might be everyday for you, but it's not everyday for me. Not at all. I'm thankful for the chance. [Beat.] Mission aside.

[Lorna couldn't help but feel really good about that. It had been so long since she felt she could make someone feel genuine happiness, but here they were.]

If we survive this, remind me to take you flying again.

[There were so many things he could ask her. He could ask her what kinds of danger she expected them to meet there. He could ask her if she thought they'd resurrect in California if the HIVE ever got their hands on them. He could ask her about her price.

Instead, he closed his eyes and felt himself flying.]

I'd like that.

We'll be there in a moment

[Lorna pushed herself, then. Going faster, and using her abilities in a way she hadn't tried out since she got them back. They were starting to feel like hers again, though, and for that she felt grateful.]

[He nodded, but wasn't sure how well she'd notice it up at the speed they were going. He let himself be carried. Even if everything he did came to nothing, he told himself, at least he had this.]

[Lorna was silent, then, and concentrated more on getting there. It was going to take a lot out of her to get them there, but she didn't care. She'd pushed herself further before, and every second her powers felt more natural was good to her.

Going and going, they soon arrived at the destination. Shaking just a little as they descended, she allowed them both to land gracefully on the ground. Leaning over and taking in a deep breath, Lorna nodded. She felt breathless, but that was okay. They were here.]
