[The filtered post has just gone up, and the race is on. You can try to team up or take out your competitors, but either way, somebody's going to have to get there first. Oh, and not to mention those strange phone calls you may have been getting. But one way or another you're going to have to fight for your right to party your place at the front. It's just a matter of whether you have help or not.]

It was true that he was probably one of those who would take the longest to arrive. Then again, good preparation was everything--and in his opinion, the small covered truck loaded up both with weaponry and the new custom-sized suit qualified as some decent prep, considering the people he'd seen giving themselves and their powers away on the orders post. Most of them probably didn't understand what they were doing... or, considering Jason had as well, perhaps they were just confident in their own strength.

Either way, he'd chosen not to give the competition any legs up on knowing who he was or what he could do, wishing to leave as many of them in the dark as possible; if he had even a single moment of surprise on them, it might turn the tide in his favor.

Being a little later than the others couldn't hurt that much, either. Let them find it and squabble over how to decide to bring it back and claim a prize for three people--the longer they fought against themselves without doing any good, the easier it would be to overtake them in battle, should they not feel like just handing it over. Of course, he didn't doubt they wouldn't. Nobody with that kind of temptation hanging in front of them could give up the chance to claim the thing they wanted most.

He hadn't been able to, either.

...Everything came down to choices, lately.

Trowa wondered if Quatre would forgive him for making this one as he pressed the gas pedal to the floor of the vehicle and sped on toward the Memorial.
