The attacks were easy to see a mile away; they weren't very skillful, even if they did make her mentally wince whenever she blocked one. They were good, solid strikes, if low-class. Thinking about that, Rikku decided that it was time to end this; she had wasted enough time already. She dodged the blow, but not far enough; it swiped across her left arm, giving a nasty cut from shoulder to elbow. But the blonde ignored it, running forward and swinging her sword back, turning it so the flat of the blade would hit. Let's see how this chick did with close combat.

The moment she managed to hit the girl Ophelia grinned...and then it faded into a hiss as the flat of Rikku's sword slammed into her arm and side, and the blue-skinned woman was knocked aside, sliding to a stop a few feet away, the black cloud boiling around her.

"Okay, this is getting old."

She lunged forward, slashing out at the girl again, a sideways hit this time.

"No kidding," she agreed with a savage grin. She still wasn't feeling the hit on her arm, thanks to adrenaline, but she knew that if she didn't end this quickly there'd be more than just a catfight going on. She parried the blow with her sword and then her leg shot out, aiming a kick at the other woman's leg, trying to knock her off balance.
