[Kenzi has spent the week beforehand getting everything ready for Sunday. So by the time the day rolls around the kitchen counters are laden with various party foods. Bowls of chips and dip, a vegetable plate for anyone that wants something healthy, cookies...just the usual stuff. As far as drinks go Kenzi has a big ice chest waiting for any drinks anyone brings. She's provided some beers and sodas, there's also some bottled water and juice in there. Anything else is up to those coming.

All the hard stuff has been hidden as Kenzi doesn't plan on sharing. But there are some jello shots that might have just a bit too much vodka in them in the fridge.

Kenzi takes one last look over everything to make sure it's all ready before flopping down on the couch to wait. She didn't give a specific time for people to drop by, which now that she thinks about it she probably should have. Oh well. For now she'll just wait.]

[Kenzi lets everyone in with the same spiel about where the food is and where they can put food if they brought any. Same with drinks.]

[ Julian has brought a clinking bagful of various drinks, which he leaves with the rest of the food. He's seeking out Kenzi for a different reason, though. ]

Okay, who's putting money on this thing? I'm having the 49ers for the win, let's do this.

Y'know I was going to bet against you just for the sake of it but well, looking like I'm going on them to win too. [She's got a fishbowl set up and a pad of paper ready for all bets.]

[ He hands over a few twenties. ]

Get my name in there. What are the odds like? I want to know how many losers I'll be beating tonight.

[governorkang]

What the hell. I'm in for the Ravens.

[Kang also forks over a couple of twenties, grinning.]

So that’s at least one. [ Smirking at Kang. ] Good to know.

We'll see who the loser is. You might regret your confidence.

[His grin just gets wider, and he fetches a beer for himself.]

[Kenzi can't help but laugh. Poor. Poor sucker. Or so she thinks anyway.]

Odds are in the 49er's favor.

I know from experience what people who have the odds stacked against them can do.

So do I, but this is sports man. Ain't the same as some fight.

[ Troy's brought beer and some kind of hideous, junk-food based dip. He's having that moment in which he doesn't know anybody and he doesn't know what to do, so he'll introduce himself to just about anybody who'll address him. It's pretty basic. ]

Hi. I'm Troy.

[ At least after introductions, it's mostly football. ]

[Kang approves of the beer, though the smell of the dip isn't too appetizing to him. He smiles at Troy in greeting.]

I am Kang. Are you a friend of Kenzi's, or someone who decided to drop by?

Oh, uh. I'm a friend. [ Who hasn't actually met her or talked to her more than once. That's all... ] We've talked on the Network, I mean. Once. About this party.

[ That counts, right? ]

[It's not a party with only a few people, after all.]

[Troy gets a big friendly welcome out of a Kenzi, possibly even a hug if he allows. But that's Kenzi for you, overly friendly at times.]

Glad you could make it dude. Gonna do any gambling on this game? [She points over the jar that has some cash in it already.]

[ Oh, a hug. Hello to you, too. ]

Oh. Sure, but I don't have a lot, and I don't know anything about this world's teams, but it's basically the same, right?

Yeah, I guess they're the same. Same players for the most part. [She didn't keep a super close eye on football back home, too busy with other stuff.]

And hey, even if you don't have a lot it's all for fun.

Right, uh. [ He considers it for a second and then shrugs. He begins the search through his pockets. ] Fifteen on the 49ers.

[wisecracked]

Sweet. [The fishbowl, pad of paper and pen float over to the both of them. The fishbowl just continues to float in midair while Kenzi writes down his name and amount.]

[ He's still a little surprised when other peoples' powers happen. Whoa. He gets out fifteen bucks while watching the fishbowl a little warily. ]

You move things with your brain? What's that called again?

[wisecracked]

[The fishbowl dips and nearly falls but Kenzi is quick to grab it, although her notepad and pen goes flying over her shoulder in the process.]

Whoops, concentration there. Er, yeah, telekinesis. A gift from the 'porter.

[The pad and pen float back up so she can finishing writing.]

Gotcha. I just got a temperature thing.

[ Let's see if he can get his more noticeable power to work, too. With a face of concentration, he reaches back into his wallet and pulls out... A wrench. ]
