Under Peruvian Skies...
WHO: Kiryu, Alastair, Saitou, & Bakura. + 1 NPC for all your tourguide needs :D
WHERE: Lima, Peru & nearby-ish touristy attractions most likely
WHEN: May 29-June 11? i guess?
WARNINGS: Well hopefully nothing drastic happens in Peru because I can't see the future but probably nothing.
SUMMARY: PERU TRIP. Visiting the Nazca lines & Cuzco maybe & just chilling. BECAUSE PERU IS THE BEST PLACE FOR THAT CLEARLY.
FORMAT: Imma start with prose, but we can do anything.
Peru. Finally. Kiryu had been thinking about visiting for a while, almost since his trip with Saitou to Japan last year. He'd been tempted to just schedule a flight straight from Tokyo to to Lima, but it was really only a fleeting fancy. He didn't need it enough to go then.
But the thought had remained, especially after his continued encounters with Cavil. He knew the 'Porter could bring people back to life; he'd experienced that little quirk of its abilities twice after all. But it didn't seem right. She wasn't one of his Gods. She especially wasn't Ccapac Apu. And none of them seemed to exist in this world anyway, much as he tried to ignore it.
Ccapac Apu wouldn't have let him think the things he'd been thinking. Even if he'd found a new being to hate, even if he hated that being more than he'd ever hated Yuusei, even if his hatred for the police and government continued to grow...he knew, when it came right down to it, that didn't matter. None of them were Signers. Yuusei was the one he was supposed to destroy, whether he still hated him or not.
And he really wasn't sure if he still hated Yuusei. He knew he did on some level; even just thinking about his old friend got his blood boiling. Yuusei had betrayed him. Yuusei had handed him over to Security and let his suffer. But Kiryu hadn't forgotten how he'd felt while his anger was gone. He certainly hadn't forgotten some of the thoughts he'd had about Yuusei over the last year--that maybe he was the one who was wrong, that maybe they could just forget everything and work together again. Same with Jack and Crow. Especially with Crow here now...
And if he was going to be really honest with himself, he'd only waited this long to plan this trip because of Yuusei. He wanted Yuusei here and he wanted to be around when Yuusei arrived. A part of him even wanted Yuusei to go to Peru with him. That damn Crimson Dragon had come from there too, after all.
But he wasn't going to wait anymore. He needed this trip. He needed to find his God, if He was there at all. He needed to decide...
He needed to decide whether he should keep believing in Him or not. If He wasn't in this world...
If He wasn't here to see how Kiryu wasn't failing him...
[ooc: So, I'm thinking different threads for different days/activities. You can start your own too, if you'd like. We're pretty much just being touristy with emphasis on older-than-Inca ruins. :D]

XD oh well we're not being graded /pats
However Saitou couldn't really say he had that immediate feeling of blind fury when he thought of anyone from home. The Battousai, of course, is the first candidate in his head, but Saitou couldn't really hate him. Himura annoyed him, yes, as had Usui, but Saitou was better than that.
He had been better than this, so much better, before this City and before he was ripped from his home and his morals and his time where he should be at this very moment. He hated this City more than anyone he could think of. He hated this era and the horrors that Japan would face in his future. He hated the idea of swords being done away with completely. No one cared anymore about bushido or honor or ideals like Aku Soku Zan. And that was what he would always hate the most.
However Saitou was certain that his silence was probably bothering Kiryu by now, and merely shook his head. His face was readable enough, as it is.
no subject
But he'd spent enough time with Saitou to read those expressions. He didn't really even need to know Saitou well to read them. And he had to smile a little when Saitou shook his head, even though he didn't look like he should be saying no.
"Of course not. You're too good for that..." Although he wondered vaguely what Saitou did hate so much, if it wasn't Cavil. "You probably don't know what o do, then..."
