i was on my way to work when i realized i'm wasted
WHO: A WHOLE BUNCH OF PEOPLE
WHERE: Here, there, everywhere.
WHEN: Anytime from 6:00 PM to the wee hours of the morning; feel free to tag in with a specific time in your subject header.
SUMMARY: Chronos and Vector are failures and half the City goes apeshit!
It's been a lovely, warm, sunny day in the City, winding into a nice warm afternoon that definitely doesn't feel like the first day of Fall. As the sun gets lower and lower in the sky, however, something goes wrong. It's a very discreet malfunction, and even people in the general area probably won't notice it; what they will notice, however, are the temporal shockwaves emanating from the malfunctioning device.
Not to mention the eventual effects of those shockwaves. Is that man standing in the middle of the crosswalk with a lampshade on his head? Where did he even find a lampshade?

right at 6 'til...whenever
And suddenly, this was not where he thought he'd been a moment before. And why was his hair suddenly twice as long? And why was it hard to breathe?
"Yuusei?" That came out far quieter than he'd hoped, but a quick look around proved that it wouldn't matter anyway. Yuusei wasn't here. No, he was here, just not here...
"What the hell..."
At least there seemed to be a bathroom. He had to make sure he was still himself. Cue freaking out.
fhasjdkasd I have to make dinner but HERE YOU GO
"...god what the hell is going on now?"

He was aware of the voices, though, and they didn't make him feel any better. They were familiar, but he was sure he'd never heard either of them before. And one of them knew who he was.
Well, of course, everyone knew who he was. In Satellite.

"Kiryuu-kun?" he tried again, hesitating at the doorway. His brother didn't look like anything was out of the ordinary, minus how he was acting.

"I don't..." He shook his head and tried to look a little less panicked. "How do you know my name?"
no subject
No. No don't panic, maybe it was just... a really random question?

He shook his head again and reached up to cover the red mark on his face. He couldn't say there was something wrong, that would be stupid, but he could trust these guys, right? "I don't...I don't know what's going on..."

Had to keep calm, for Kiryuu's sake, had to--
"You-- you don't remember?" he asked, voice shaking a little. Inside, part of him was raging. Something had made his brother forget. Something had made his brother forget him.
His hands had clenched tight at his sides without him realizing.

He made a face and tried again. "You sure you don't remember us? Bakura, Alastair?" He gestured to each of them in turn. "Your roommates?" He almost added your boyfriend, but he was trying not to be offended by being forgotten. "I don't know what's going on here but we're your friends."
no subject
"I'm sorry," he finally murmured. "I believe you, I've just...I've never seen you before. I've never seen this-" he gestured vaguely at the bathroom- "before. And I look really weird..."
And wait, had he said-- "Wait, Bakura, like the Battle City duelist Bakura?"

He paused, blinking at Kiryuu's question, giving a very faint and awkward smile as he rubbed his cheek. Like deja vu... He had almost forgotten that that had been Kiryuu's reaction. Idly he wondered if this was what Ben felt every time. "U--un," he nodded.
no subject
"It's okay. C'mon, just...sit down and take a minute. Hey, Bakura - are you making dinner yet?"
no subject
"All right..." He didn't really want to keep looking in the mirror anymore anyway. It was too unnerving.

Unfortunately, snuggling was probably out. No touching until he was in his right mind, Alastair decided.

"Are we in the city?" he asked after a moment. He didn't really want to be in the city, but since he'd thought he'd only ever be there as a prisoner, this wasn't too bad.

Saitou hadn't stayed out of the apartment on errands for too long after Kiryu's unusual network post. Especially what with his initial confusion about the City and about Saitou knowing his name. Something definitely wasn't right and the former Shinsengumi would really rather not have to worry about someone else.
It was about the same time Saitou had walked out of the elevator that Kiryu started calling for his former teammate. Saitou had to sigh under his breath and gradually went on his way to find Kiryu, hopefully explain all this without too much of a reaction. Who knew if Kiryu could control his powers if his memory was shot, after all -- especially since he was in such a small room, as Saitou found. The bathroom didn't exactly have that much space for powers to safely go haywire - if there was such a thing.
"Kiryu."
idk what Lycoris will want to do, but I want this >.>
He looked over at the voice, much less panicked than he had been. "You're...Saitou, right?" It had to be. He looked really familiar too, but he couldn't think of why.
xD; k
"How are you?"
no subject
"I'm...better." He smiled and glanced at the mirror again. "Alastair told me how to switch back and forth."
late tags are late /o\
s'okay <3
"He's been a good friend. I don't know why I would forget him..." He tilted his head to the side a bit, eyeing Saitou for a moment. "You look really familiar. Are you from Satellite or Domino too?"
