So I put my hands up, they're playing my song
WHO: The Spider-Family!
WHERE: One of the MAC rec rooms.
WHEN: Saturday, early evening.
WARNINGS: Spider-Shenanigans.
SUMMARY: Harry's back from the hospital, so it's time for pizza and pool! The kind with a stick, not the kind you need a swimsuit for.
FORMAT: Quicklog, then whatever!
[ The rec room is reminiscent of your average college lounge: a well-worn and faintly musty couch and armchairs, dinged-up tables and metal chairs, a CRT television with a large screen, a water cooler, and a pool table. On the table nearest the pool table are several 2-liter soda bottles, some dixie cups stolen from the water cooler, a few bags of chips and doritos, napkins, a few takeout menus (all pizza), and several dollar-store balaclavas, the kind that have openings just for the eyes and mouth.
Peter's hanging out on the couch, in his civvies but with webshooters on. He's killing time waiting for people to arrive by building a classic card tower. ]

do you remember how much you llloooooved being stared at? ]

Are you going to play, or are you just going to watch?
no subject
Have no qualms with just watching.
Unless you want me to play.
no subject
Well. I am bored, and no one else seems to be volunteering...
no subject
In that case.
[ she'll be picking up the other cue, moving over to the table ]
I should point out that I've never really played before.
no subject
In that case I guess I'll go easy on you.
no subject
Gee. You'd do that for me?
no subject
What can I say. I'm nice like that.
no subject
You're kind of out of place here, aren't you?
no subject
Family Night isn't really my thing.
no subject
Not what I meant.
no subject
Oh? Then maybe you should be a bit clearer.
no subject
You're not a spider.
[ not in a judging tone or anything. just a curious one. the way he's acting... probably doesn't help though and she's perching on the edge of the pool table, sitting there ]
no subject
I'm not--
Don't let the name fool you.
no subject
You have horns.
no subject
N- Not always! I mean, that's not the point!
no subject
that's weird. squinting at him from behind dem glasses.
doesn't say anything.. just... tilts her head to the side. well then. explain, bro. ]
no subject
Where do I even start? Look, I don't always look that-- no, wait. I should start from the beginning. That dork trying to play Spider-Dad? He's...
He's my uncle.
no subject
she doesn't know what to think about that...
wait.
Peter has a sibling?
.... siblings!? kids?? it's not one of the clones, they're all dead -- wait. alternate universe thing. right. her world doesn't apply.
don't mind that she's just kind of... giving him a bewildered stare for a few moments and not saying anything.
SHE'S AN AUNT!? ]
.... Right.
no subject
Right.
You know, you look-- kind of familiar.

[ He's plonked himself back down nearby, slice of pizza in hand. Knowing teenagers ... if someone takes Matt up on the implicit challenge, well, it should be good dinner entertainment. ]
