Ladies and Gentlemen
WHO: Sanji and OPEN!!
WHERE: All That Jazz
WHEN: Friday evening, 6 or 7 until closing (which is like...idk 1 am?)
WARNINGS: TBD
SUMMARY: Sanji is opening the doors of his club to everyone not in jail to cut loose and have a party. Also because it was his birthday, but mostly just to party. Pirates like to party. No trashing the club this time (his insurance can't take it) but if anyone wants to start something, just remember that the three monsters of the Straw Hat crew are in attendence and itching to smack someone down. Consider it like one giant Open RP set in All That Jazz and go nuts.
FORMAT: ladies' choice
The club staff was getting overtime pay for a normal night. The food was free and made to order. The bar wasn't free, alas, but somebody has to pay for all the booze. The entertainment was up to the crowd, between karaoke and Zoidberg's offerings. And tonight, Sanji was just going to sit back and enjoy it.
So he'd turned twenty-one, big deal. If he bothered to get ID, he could buy booze now. That didn't really matter to him as much as the other impending changes in his life. He had half the crew with him, at last. The sale of the club would probably be going through in the next few weeks. They could go back to being pirates, recapture some of the glory waiting for them back home. Why not go out with a bang? A huge party the likes of the kind the Straw Hats enjoyed after every major victory, with lots of food and alcohol, singing and dancing, stupid stories and laughter.
Sanji perched on a stool by the bar to welcome people in, blatantly smoking inside his own club in defiance of the local laws, sharply dressed in a pinstripe shirt and waistcoat and the snappy new fedora Nami gave him for his birthday. Tonight's theme was "anything goes," and he was eager to find out whether these people from another world knew how to party.

Three guesses who passed out.
Angelica had gone out, which was her priority. It had occurred to him distantly as he watched her and Gemma leave that he probably should have had some bachelor party. But then, he wasn't one for excessive partying before marriage and as such, he failed to see how having 'one last hurrah' would matter in that respect. So instead of some outlandish affair with women without clothes jumping out of perfectly respectable cakes (that couldn't be sanitary), he opted to grab a bite at the local pizzeria and then dash over to that All That Jazz place he'd heard mentioned a few times. It seemed to be an import run establishment thus, he expected it to be fairly quiet by the time he arrived.
That wasn't exactly the case. Not to be deterred, however, Pietro made his way through the rowdy crowd to the bar and ordered a simple drink. If this one worked out, he might venture into the fancier stuff, or possibly not. He didn't expect to stay out very late.
is it you? :>
KARAOKE - OPEN
:3
Here's a song that will really get this party started!
[And then... the song begins.]
I remember when I was a very little crab, our hut caught on fire.
I'll never forget the look on my aunt Sadie's face as she gathered me up
in her arms and raced through the burning building out to the pavement.
I stood there shivering in my pajamas and watched the whole world go up in flames.
And when it was all over I said to myself, "Is that all there is to a fire?"
[This part is accompanied by some soft shoe dancing.]
Is that all there is, is that all there is
If that's all there is my friends, then let's keep dancing
Let's break out the booze and have a ball
If that's all there is~
[Then he's somber again.]
And when I was 12 years old, my auntie took me to the circus, the greatest show on earth.
There were clowns and elephants and dancing bears
And a beautiful lady in pink tights flew high above our heads.
And as I sat there watching the marvelous spectacle
I had the feeling that something was missing.
I don't know what, but when it was over,
I said to myself, "Is that all there is to a circus?"
[And some twirling now~]
Is that all there is, is that all there is
If that's all there is my friends, then let's keep dancing
Let's break out the booze and have a ball
If that's all there is~
[And back to srs bsns Zoidberg again.]
Then I fell in love, with the most wonderful lobster in the world.
We would take long walks by the river or just sit for hours gazing into each other's eyes.
We were so very much in love.
Then one day, she went away. And I thought I'd die -- but I didn't.
And when I didn't I said to myself, "Is that all there is to love?"
Is that all there is, is that all there is
If that's all there is my friends, then let's keep dancing
[And now the most overly dramatic part of all.]
I know what you must be saying to yourselves.
If that's the way he feels about it why doesn't he just end it all?
Oh, no! Not me. I'm in no hurry for that final disappointment.
For I know just as well as I'm standing here talking to you,
when that final moment comes and I'm breathing my last breath, I'll be saying to myself,
Is that all there is, is that all there is
If that's all there is my friends, then let's keep dancing
Let's break out the booze and have a ball
If that's all there is~~
[And then... silence as he waits for a reaction with the largest, most hopeful eyes ever.]
Very beautiful

Though he hoped he would spot one of his friends. Or at least someone to hang out with.
He really wasn't good at clubs.

He had put out his cigarette but was walking around with it still in his mouth, out of habit. "Hey, kid," he casually greeted Bakura as he came up behind him.

So, blonde hair tied up in ribbons and only looking slightly out of place in a white dress, Terra did what she did best: meandered and eavesdropped.

He was dressed in a tasteful navy blue suit with an even more tasteful pink tie, going for a formal-but-casual look since he didn't know what the dress code was. This was that place that had gotten wrecked up recently, he noticed, and shook his head as he ordered a drink from the bar. He still thought it could use a piano.

It's a bird! It's an earthquake! No it's a dragon with a ship in the parking lot!
Anyone standing outside of the club, or who ran out fast enough, would have been treated to a very unusual sight as a 200ft green dragon flew in low over the City buildings, carrying a 30ft sailing yacht under it's belly in it's foreclaws, and then carefully landing and setting the ship down in a more or less empty section of the parking lot.
The ship listed to the side on it's barnacle covered keel, and Ysera carefully nosed it to make sure it wouldn't fall over completely. It wouldn't do for it to take any more damage than it had from sinking before she'd found it. As it was, one of the masts was snapped off midway and the sails were ruined. She'd tried to get most of the water out of the inside, but she was sure it was still damp and fishy-smelling below-decks. The hull didn't have much damage, thankfully. Although Ysera didn't know it, the ship had been scuttled on purpose to hide evidence. She didn't care, though. It was the best she could find for Sanji's present without outright stealing a ship - and she wasn't going to do that.
After making sure the ship was secure, Ysera reared up and then abruptly shifted and shrank. In an instant, the dragon was gone and in it's place stood Ysera in her elven form, wearing a dress that shaded from emerald green at the top to white at the hem. She straightened her skirts, then turned to enter the club.

And then he saw it. He didn't see the dragon, for by that time Ysera had shifted to her elven form, but he saw the boat. Why there was suddenly a busted-looking ship beached in the next-door parking lot, he didn't know, but it was...something, all right.
"What in the hell?"
