WHO: Billy Kaplan and anyone else
WHERE: A store
WHEN: Backdated to yesterday before the start of the plot, throughout the day
WARNINGS: Billy is a geek lol? XD
SUMMARY: Billy is wandering around the city. Meant to be for all the people I plotted with on the CR meme about meeting Billy since I figured it'd be easiest to just make one post and have whoever wants to jump in do so :)
FORMAT: Anything you want, take your pick

Billy is in a store, spending the day shopping, although he'll probably end up buying only one thing. It could be a gaming store, a book store, a comic book store... It might even be your store. He is currently looking at something, be it collectable cards, a video game guide, a sci-fi or fantasy book, a comic, or maybe even a new game he hasn't seen before. Do you approach?

Well, if he's at Bakura's store there's quite a large section of Duel Monsters cards and merch and plenty of games around. Bakura, for once, is taking a break from being up in the managers office and is working the floor, currently tidying up the TRPG section, checking to see if more dice needed to be brought out from the stock room. Really, it's mostly just a break way from the paperwork to prod at his favorite section.
shiromadoushi: (Yo!)

Bakura looks up with a nod and a smile. "I do! What did you need help with?"
shiromadoushi: (Side smile happy happy)

"It's pretty similar at the basics! Only there's no land system in Duel Monsters; it uses a sacrifice system for summoning larger monsters," Bakura explained.

"If you get a starter deck, it comes with the rules and everything. Though I think there's still some extras by the play tables, if you'd like to just read them over first."

Teddy's certainly going to approach. He'd just been walking down the street when he spotted Billy going into the store. Feeling up for a little mischief, he decided to sneak up on his boyfriend.

Waiting until Billy's occupied with the comic, he steps up as silently as he can and reaches out to tap him on the shoulder. The moment he turns around, Teddy's going to lean in and kiss him.

"Hey," Teddy replies with a smile. He picks the comic up for Billy, taking a peek at it before handing it back. "Surprised ya, didn't I?" he asks, pushing his hair back. "It was either that or sudden tickling," he teases.

"But you're so adorable when I tickle you," Teddy teases. "I was wondering where you went off to," he muses. "Which comic series are good here?"

[personal profile] son_of_vell 2011-05-28 05:33 am (UTC)(link)
"Oh, I agree. Kissing you is always better than watching you go all squirmy," Teddy smiles, wiggling his fingers at his boyfriend playfully. He waits quietly, looking around the store. He looks over the comic Billy hands him and flips through it. "Looks like a good one."

Zevran is about ready to give up on his routine of hanging out in the sci-fi/fantasy sections of bookstores, picking up smitten fans. It's just not working out anymore now that the Crabhammers are gone or subdued.

He'll give it one last shot, though. Which means that he's currently standing just where the graphic novels section starts in one of the larger bookstores, frowning faintly at a comic about zombies. He's pretty sure that's not how it works.

[identity profile] niceassassin.livejournal.com 2011-05-29 03:29 am (UTC)(link)
A flash of amusement lights up Zevran's eyes for a moment, but he doesn't answer the question just yet. Instead, he leans over to show him the page of the graphic novel that he's currently on. "Does it really work like that in this world? With the fire, I mean. Where I'm from, the undead will fall like any other demonic thing if you do enough damage." A beat. "They are real, yes."

[identity profile] niceassassin.livejournal.com 2011-05-29 03:46 am (UTC)(link)
It's still strange to Zevran, even after six weeks here, to see reactions like this. All in all, he'd rather have no reaction at all, or little of one--but this is definitely better than what he got back home.

So for now, he pretends he doesn't notice the growing excitement and instead just cants his head thoughtfully to one side. "A bold leap you're making, my friend. I could be a tall dwarf who got into an unfortunate accident." He lets the false pensiveness drop and grins. "But as it happens, you're correct."

Not initially, though that can be excused. Her presence alone is sort of eye-catching alone.

The store in question is a bookstore, independent from any major chains, and the person in question is a girl in her early teens. That alone might be unusual -- for reading is a hobby falling by the wayside for the younger generations, especially that of books still printed on paper -- but her appearance is striking as well. Not her clothing; that's almost conservative, with long sleeves (in late May) and a knee-length skirt.

No, it's the hair. It's a tealish, seafoam green, tied up into pigtails more closely resembling rabbit ears.

She's loitering in the mythology section, one heavy-looking tome held open on her arm, and the edges of what look like playing cards poke out of the book intermittently as place-markers. When Billy comes into this section, the girl glances up (amber eyes, almost too large for her face, just intensify the rabbit motif) before returning her attention to the book. She wouldn't want to interrupt his book search uninvited.

[personal profile] dragony 2011-06-02 08:40 pm (UTC)(link)
For a moment, the girl doesn't look as though she'll respond. Maybe she didn't hear him? But the moment passes, and when she looks up again it's with the realization that, why yes, he is in fact speaking to her.

"I suppose so, yeah," she answers; her voice is lower and more mature-sounding than her young appearance would imply, but sounds pleasant enough. "Are you?"
dragony: (but I didn't order a candygram)

The girl's eyes move from his face to the book, brows bending for thought. "Norse? That's the one with Ragnarok, isn't it?"

In her own world and at this age, Ruka would have been more familiar with it -- at least, with a certain selection of its Gods, and the legends thereof. That other Ruka would even journey the Bifrost, risking her life as the Rainbow Bridge dissolved behind her and her companions. But that was a journey this Ruka had not yet taken -- and, perhaps, never would.

"I haven't read as much about that one, yet," she continued, indicating her own sizable book. "I still have a long way to go, with the Greeks."
