Bar Log ((OPEN))
WHO: Tom Bronson + OPEN
WHERE: the bar
WHEN: all week
WARNINGS: none
SUMMARY: Tom now owns the bar, and everyone gets their first drink free for the first week.
FORMAT: quick
[It was Tom's first couple weeks running the bar, and, surprisingly, it had gone pretty well so far. The transition itself was a bit of a challenge, but once he'd become accustomed to it, it really wasn't so bad at all. In fact, he found himself even enjoying the work, even if it meant extra hours for the time being, since the promotion and port-outs lately meant that they were running a bit understaffed.
That wasn't why he was pulling other duties besides just managing the place, though. Working behind the bard was one of the best jobs he had, and he really enjoyed it. He got to talk to people at the bar (and occasionally have a drink or two himself). It was the social aspect that he liked, which was why, to maybe draw in a few new regular customers, he was offering free drinks for the week.]

Can I get you anything? [He leaned on the bar across from her, smiling pleasantly.]
no subject
Yes.
[She decided to leave the drink up to him.]

Selina told me that Logan liked hard liquor. Not that I think it means you would too, but... I don't know. [He shrugs.] If you don't like it, I could mix something more to your tastes.

Logan drinks as much as he can in order to try and get drunk. It doesn't work.
[Still, after a few seconds, she takes a long sip of the drink and winces faintly.]

[He frowns just a little as she winces.]
You don't like it... Okay, I can fix this. I'll make something else. [He starts grabbing various bottles, setting down others, picking up even more.] What kind of flavors do you like? Sweet, salty, citrus... anything?
no subject
[She sets the glass down and watches him as he gets things out, considering.]
Sweet.
no subject
[He takes a minute before setting down a new, sweeter drink in front of her.]
Try this.
no subject
[She picked up the new glass and sniffed it again, and then took a sip. There was less of a wince that time.]
Better.

There are other things to do here too, and you don't have to drink anything alcoholic just because it's a bar.
no subject
[She smiled faintly.]
But you are bartending. Receiving a drink is appropriate.
no subject
Just because I work here doesn't mean you have to order something, but I'm really glad that you showed up.
no subject
The drinks aren't bad. And I said I would come to see you.
