[It was Tom's first couple weeks running the bar, and, surprisingly, it had gone pretty well so far. The transition itself was a bit of a challenge, but once he'd become accustomed to it, it really wasn't so bad at all. In fact, he found himself even enjoying the work, even if it meant extra hours for the time being, since the promotion and port-outs lately meant that they were running a bit understaffed.

That wasn't why he was pulling other duties besides just managing the place, though. Working behind the bard was one of the best jobs he had, and he really enjoyed it. He got to talk to people at the bar (and occasionally have a drink or two himself). It was the social aspect that he liked, which was why, to maybe draw in a few new regular customers, he was offering free drinks for the week.]

[Okay, she definitely wasn't the type of person that he expected to ever show up in this bar, but it wasn't wholly unwelcome, except for the fact that she definitely didn't look twenty-one.

Still, he walked over to where she sat, and leaned against the bar.]

You don't seem like you're lost, but you're definitely a new face. Can I get you anything?

Hm? Oh, no, definitely not lost. I just enjoy wandering around the City and finding all sort of new sights. And this place seemed like the place to be. Do you ever get that feeling? Like you should be somewhere, even if you've never been there before?

Do you have any Gillywater?

[Laura hadn't been to the bar since she'd spoken to Selina, but now that Tom was running it her curiousity had returned, so she stepped inside quietly and looked around. Dressed in 'bar clothes' for a change, so a purple tank-top, black skirt, her fishnets and boots, at least she didn't stick out too badly, despite being young.]

[She considered the room for a long moment before she crossed it to the bar.]

[Curtis has been hanging around after his shifts to help out as well. And that's what he's doing tonight. He's whistling a tune he heard on the radio as he cleans up the bar, frowning at a sticky spot caused by a spilled drink. He chuckles as he gets to cleaning the spot.]

I still can't believe I've held a job down for this long...

[Julian is here out of curiosity, mainly. He's even sticking closer to the law than usual and hasn't ordered anything alcoholic yet. He's doing his usual and finding a booth near the back to sit in, and for now just watches the crowd.]

[Julian spots Laura almost as soon as he arrives. She's pretty easy for him to spot anyway, but dressed like that he was hardly gonna not notice. He hesitates for a minute, then goes up to lean on the bar beside her.]

Hey. You look nice.

[ridethetiger]

[Now, Ggio is no stranger to girls in bars, and Laura looks just like the kind he expects to show up. There's really no reason why he plants himself besides her besides to be nosy and a general pest.]

Hey, you don't look too excited to be here.

[thebadturtle]

[Look who is coming by! Yeah, everybody's favorite under age turtle.]

[This little arrancar is rather excited to be in the bar, which while not as rambunctious as a club, still provides a good atmosphere to keep him preoccupied while school's out, not to mention fed.

Between pestering Tom for a beer (just for the foam, which reminds him of mudslides), and occasionally making his way around the place gently insisting that those who have had too much should leave, he's seated at the far end of the bar. Just watching everyone and sometimes sitting with his eyes closed, and face turned upwards for some reason.]

[Laura notices Julian a moment or two before he reaches her, mostly by scent, but she doesn't turn towards him until he's close enough to speak. She just nods faintly at his comment.]

[Laura blinked at the kid on the stool next to her for a couple seconds before she answered, her head tilted slightly to the side.]

I don't come to bars very often. I told Tom I would visit since he is running it now.

[ridethetiger]

[... Turtle, what? It's not often Ggio sees potential food just walk into a place.

Suddenly there is a shorty trailing way too close behind him with a Smilodon skull on his head.]

You know Tom.

[For once, it's just a statement, instead of a question or accusation. Ggio eyes Laura, the just... leans in and takes a big whiff of her.]

Yes.

[She just watches him when he sniffs her, and while it would bother most people, it doesn't bother her yet. Her own sense of smell functions similarly, of course...if probably more effectively. But her eyes narrow faintly.]

[thebadturtle]

[Repeat after me, friend not food. Raph heads to the bar, definitely noticing Ggio, but not noticing Ggio, if one gets one's meaning. He's just waiting for Tom to pop up at the bar, that's all.]

[He mostly just wants to make her uncomfortable, especially with her body language not giving much away, which bothers Ggio. He pulls back with a faint growl, and snorts as he leans on the bar.]

Well, don't just stand there. Drink something.

[ridethetiger]

[And he notices the not noticing, which noticeably bothers him!

So Like an Adult he sticks right Raph, and reaches out to... bat at the ends of his mask-scarf. Thing.]

[girlverine]

[Laura shifts faintly to look back at the bottles behind the bar, then turns to Ggio again.]

Why?

[He gives her a little smile.]

Can I get you a drink?

[Well, as long as she doesn't look under eighteen, it's alright for her to hang around. Not that he'd have kicked her, or anyone else, out anyway. He laughs, She's definitely interesting.]

Yeah, I think I get what you're talking about. Usually I have a bit of help in that, but when I first came here, I did the same thing, more or less, just wandering the City and getting lost until I find something interesting.

[He thinks for a moment, frowning a little.] I've never heard of that. What's it made with?

[Someone has been paying attention to the drinks Ggio's been getting. And that's why Curtis is setting a mug down in front of the arrancar that's mostly foam.]

Hey.

[He wanted to get along with Ggio for Tom's sake so he's trying.]

[Tom had spent most of his time at the bar, and, honestly, the last person that he'd expected to see here was Laura. Not that he wasn't happy about it, but drinking didn't do anything for her (unless Jessica was involved), so a bar just didn't seem obvious. Though, this was Wolverine's bar originally, and he did tell her that she could get whatever she needed here.]

Can I get you anything? [He leaned on the bar across from her, smiling pleasantly.]

[Tom just laughs a little, working on washing out all the glasses from that night and wiping them clean.]

What, did you think you'd be fired or something?

Well, I had terrible luck keeping jobs back home. [He laughs.] Fired, quit, building destroyed by super battles. It was like the world was telling me to live on my couch.
