WHERE: a large, popular department store in the City
WHEN: Sunday, August 21st 2011
WARNINGS: Hideous outfits may pop up! Polyvore may become a timesink. Don't worry about the ladies though, Ruka is there to chaperon them.
SUMMARY: They've had over a week of relative quiet in the City. It's time to go shopping and then lunch.
FORMAT: Quick to start, then whatever. There is no posting order, multi-threads are encouraged.

Invitations had been sent out, either by text or by verbal invitation. Originally, it was just supposed to be Tonks, Ruka and Lily Potter but then others had arrived. It didn't feel right to Tonks that they be left out, so they'd been invited too.

The more the merrier, right?

Tonks looks up at the large, multi-level department store. It's big, gigantic even. Everyone is bound to find something they like, she thinks.

She's standing by one of the entrances. All that she has left to do now is wait for everyone to arrive. Tonks is easy to spot, her hair is a vivid shade of vermilion.

Ginny thought about it. “A few t-shirts and jeans, and a couple of cardigans just in case. And some robes, and a travelling cloak. Nothing that’d be warm enough for a Hogwarts winter, anyway.” And, just because it might be worth mentioning… “And I had a few school books, and my potions set, but I’d left my cauldron at home.” Because it had been heavy, and she’d in her rush thought that if she needed one she’d be able to borrow it off Muriel. “And I have my broomstick, but I can’t exactly wear that.”

"It sounds like you'll be alright until the actual cool weather sets in. How have you been managing in this heat though?" For a moment, she feels a bit like her Mum. Do you have your jumper? "What's all in your potions set?" She wonders if there might be anything useful in there.

"Just the usual school stuff." Ginny is trying to think back; it's been a while since she looked at it. "I was in Slughorn's NEWT class and I had a full set for it at the start of the year. But that was nearly a whole year ago, and I've not replaced anything. I think I might've run out of dried beetles and knotgrass entirely."
