Well, when I'm wembling west...
WHO: /Ruka, Tonks, Andromeda Tonks, Lily Potter, Luna Lovegood, Ginny Weasley, and Hermione Granger.
WHERE: a large, popular department store in the City
WHEN: Sunday, August 21st 2011
WARNINGS: Hideous outfits may pop up! Polyvore may become a timesink. Don't worry about the ladies though, Ruka is there to chaperon them.
SUMMARY: They've had over a week of relative quiet in the City. It's time to go shopping and then lunch.
FORMAT: Quick to start, then whatever. There is no posting order, multi-threads are encouraged.
Invitations had been sent out, either by text or by verbal invitation. Originally, it was just supposed to be Tonks, Ruka and Lily Potter but then others had arrived. It didn't feel right to Tonks that they be left out, so they'd been invited too.
The more the merrier, right?
Tonks looks up at the large, multi-level department store. It's big, gigantic even. Everyone is bound to find something they like, she thinks.
She's standing by one of the entrances. All that she has left to do now is wait for everyone to arrive. Tonks is easy to spot, her hair is a vivid shade of vermilion.

She's not very talkative on good days, so her practically perpetual dour mood which will just make her the most engaging shopping accompaniment ever.

"Hello! Listen, I just wanted to introduce myself. I'm Ginny Weasley."

The surname is conspicuously absent.

"It's nice to meet you too. I haven't been here for very long, but I'm from the same world as Tonks."
no subject
"Hello. My name is Luna. I don't believe we've met face-to-face before, but it's very nice to finally see you without a screen in the way."

“Am I late? Sorry about that, I really should get a Remeberall, I’m always forgetting times...”

And then she has to spend a few minutes just staring at the size of this place full of shops. It's like Diagon Alley squared. Except not magical, but still, it's fairly impressive. Luckily enough, so is the shade of Tonks' hair, and Ginny spots her fairly quickly.
"Tonks!" She flashes a grin as she runs up beside her, holding her little phone device thing. "I got your wordy things. Take it this is the right place, then. It's amazing."
No such thing bb!
Re: No such thing bb!
Well, that was a turn up. Her birthday had been two months away when she left home, and now it was over. She shook her head.
"Hmm. Scandalous, that'd set the cat amongst the pigeons. I'm living with Fred and George and Ron's around pretending he's the same age as dad."
no subject
"Yeah, scandalous. I was thinking of a maybe a skirt that hits at your calves. You should expose your ankles more Ginny. You're young."

Who Luna threw her arms around the second she and the other woman reached a lull in their conversation.
"Sorry for the suddenness, but there are some things you can't do over a communicator, and I'd been meaning to." She looked a bit embarrassed. "It's very nice to see you... and this place is smashing, isn't it?"
/holds
"Hi! Don't say sorry, I'm glad to see you too! You'll have to show me round, Luna, I'd get completely lost in a place like this."
no subject
"Hello! I'd love to, even if I may not be the best guide. Certainly no metaphorical Niffler sniffing for gold, at least... but you should ask Neville and Mrs. Potter about that."

"It's my experience that at least 40% of the time -- they don't. And they are dangerous. You don't know how many times I've seen one of those go clear through a fellow's foot."

no subject
"And yes, really. Very dangerous. Although, I suppose if that's what they're going for..."
