WHO: Tom-kun & Baroona-chan
WHERE: Buttermilk Falls
WHEN: Weekend Weekend
WARNINGS: Tom always screws up when he tries to be nice to Baroona... So, we'll see.
SUMMARY: Baroona needs to get out of the City for a while. Getting people out seems to be Tom's job lately.
FORMAT: Quick
[Baroona had mentioned that the City was too much sometimes, so Tom had been planning to take him on a small trip for a weekend, just to help him feel more at home for a while. Besides, Tom figured that camping out with him was infinitely better than staying in the park where there could be rats and drifters and such.
Of course, Tom, being the genius that he is when it comes to hanging out with Baroona, figured that it would be a surprise, and didn't tell the other guy until he'd already rented a car and, by some miracle, got Baroona inside of it... Which, in retrospect was the worst idea ever, and the trip was pretty much miserable until he finally convinced the gladiator to take some medicine and fall asleep in the back.
Thankfully, he slept the rest of the way until they made it to the falls, and Tom woke him up.]

ARRIVING HEH
You tricked me.

[Tom backs off a little, wanting to stay out of the range of Baroona's fists. He expected this kind of reaction, but hopefully the change in scenery would make things better.]

Are we there?
no subject
See for yourself. I'm sure you want to get out of the car anyway.
[He steps out of the way, and sure enough, they're in a fairly private, wooded area, with the falls nearby.]

This is real?
no subject
Of course it's real. I did pretty good this time, huh?
no subject
It's beautiful.

There are tons of places like this, where there aren't any cities.

... No.

I think there's something that can help with your carsickness and won't put you to sleep.
It's not really possible to walk to most of these places.

We'll figure something out. I got you here in one piece, didn't I?

Hardly.

But you're happy, right? This was a good idea?
THAT WATERFALL DRAMA
That was probably the only reason that he stirred at all after Baroona had left. He didn't realize it until he'd woken up and realized the gladiator was gone, but he knew something was different before he awoke. The smells changed, there was more movement in the wooded area than before, and his senses caught that.
He figured that Baroona was probably okay, since he'd left his shoes behind, but that didn't mean Tom wasn't concerned, and he got up to follow the trail to the falls.
Once he saw Baroona bathing in them, Tom intended to leave and go back to their campsite, but his eyes caught something that he'd never noticed before, or Baroona had made sure to never show to him before. It was a large mark or tattoo on the boy's back, and the werepanther's eyes fixed on it for a few minutes as Baroona bathed.
He finally took a step back and turned to leave, but, of course, he'd stepped on and broke a large branch, making a loud cracking noise that gave away his position.
Re:
What are you doing?

Shit! It's just me!
[He gingerly lifts his hand, touching once of his claws to the blade of the knife and slowly pushing it away from his throat.]
You weren't at the campsite. I just came to check on you and make sure that you were okay.
no subject
You were watching me.

[He sighs a little when the knife isn't such an immediate danger.]
What are you doing out here this late?
no subject
... Bathing.
no subject
[And he's going to turn to the side and not look or anything.]
I didn't mean to disturb. I could just... go back to the campsite now.
no subject
You saw it, didn't you?
no subject
Well, yeah, kinda. It wasn't like I was looking or anything, though! I mean, it's not a big deal! We're both guys so it's nothing we haven't see, yeah?
[Can Tom just take that knife to his throat now?]

no subject
Yeah, I know... I see them.

no subject
Why did you get those?
no subject
I didn't. [] They were given to me.
no subject
By who?
no subject
My country.
no subject
Was it because of the military?
