[Slowing down, she takes his hand in hers rather than loop her arm around his again.]

[She isn't sure how she feels about all of this. It feels like this was some sort of pivotal moment in their relationship, though she can't quite figure out why. A nod is her acknowledgment that she heard.]

I don't dislike it. I'd just like to remind you I don't have the same enjoyments as a thirteen year old girl. Holding hands and skipping down the street doesn't really appeal.

We don't have to skip. [What exactly are you meaning to imply, Mister Bond?] Beside that, I didn't hold hands with boys until I was at least sixteen.

Were you afraid of cooties?

Home-schooled. Traveled the world with my father as his assistant. Didn't leave a lot of time for meeting boys.

Hm. What was it like? Travelling so young?
