Bakura's Birthday Shindig [OPEN]

WARNINGS: none unless Kaiba is his usual self. ;)
SUMMARY: Bakura's turning 20! Time for all the fluffballs and assholes who know and like him to party. And collect delicious random CR from each other.

The last-minute party is ready to go. Momiji had been entrusted with the decorations, the cake is coming with Maggie, and food and drink are in the process of being set out. The Mancave is still in pristine form, with arcade games and console games hooked up to the giant TV, and poor Pierre still surviving well enough in his tank. Alastair has his longest techno playlist pumping through the stereo. All they need now is the birthday boy himself!

Oh, and Vector, Alastair has a request for you. Something about space bridges, Tokyo, and January.

"Thank you, Mokuba-kun!" he smiled, rubbing the back of his neck in embarrassment.

Birthdays are times for hugs, so Mokuba presented one to Bakura.

"Is being 20 really cool?"

Oh hey, a hug. Bakura always appreciates those.

He smiled softly, hugging back. "It doesn't feel any different, even though I really thought it would," he answered a bit sheepishly.

"That's weird. It SHOULD feel different!" This messed with Mokuba's sense of order, so he pouted.

Bakura nodded. "I guess it's different when you aren't going to university or in Japan," he shrugged.

"Then we should do something to make it feel different!" Mokuba decided, not at all put off that he didn't know what to do.

"Like what?" Bakura asked with a small, fond smile.

"Like...." Mokuba thought for a moment. "I don't know. What do adults do?"

"Go out to bars?" Bakura guessed, equally clueless.

"It can't JUST be that," Mokuba protested. "Otherwise, why would people want to be adults?"

"I don't know," Bakura admitted honestly. "I guess.. just to be one?"

"But adults have to work, and pay mortgages." Mokuba considered a long moment. "But you can stay up as late as you want, and no one will tell you to eat your vegetables!"

"But I could do that before..."

Mokuba made a face. "Then it must be because of 'girl things,'" he said, sticking out his tongue. "Girls are gross. I'll have to come up with another reason to be an adult."

Bakura almost grimaced. "I hope it's not because of something like that..."

"Everyone seems interested in girls," Mokuba said with a distasteful look. "Except Niisama. Because Niisama doesn't love anyone more than his laptop."

Only a little bitterness there, because he really knew that his brother loved him more than anything.

Bakura covered a small laugh at that. "I think his Blue Eyes White Dragon might rank a bit above. He can always get a new laptop, after all!"

"Un! Un!" Mokuba agreed with a smile. "You're even SUPPOSED to upgrade your computer every few years. You can't upgrade a Blue Eyes!"

"Unless you fuse it into the Blue Eyes Ultimate Dragon!" Bakura pointed out with a grin. "But you can only do that once."
