(OPEN.)

WHO: [livejournal.com profile] soloisms and you!
WHERE: all over the city
WHEN: today ; sometime tonight 6pm-2am
WARNINGS: Language
SUMMARY: Han decides to deal with his "sad" feelings in the only way he knows how: getting in trouble.
FORMAT: [actionspam]

[Han should really be able to sort out these feelings he had. Did he love her? Of course he did. A real man didn't deny what he felt, but ... it was the fear of rejection that was made him reject that he was worried (like hell he'd show that weakness) or even upset that she was gone. What was worse that he knew that she would be going back to getting herself in danger because of something he had done or his own failure to protect her- Luke - everyone.

Han was irritable at best, silent at worst. But, he knew that he'd need to get out of that apartment, if he didn't he was sure that Eames would take action.

Besides, Han belonged out there, not in here.

So.

There he was, skulking around the top bars looking for wind of a good poker game where he could win something big for himself.]

[ Han wasn't the only one trying to sulk and drown his sorrows in either booze or a good game of cards. His sister-in-law kind-of-acquaintance was doing just about the exact same thing.

Which meant that invariably, one of the bars he'd end up sulking in, would have a redhead already camped out at the bar, a half-empty drink, in one hand, and an eye on the card table.

[ She turned, an eyebrow arching in surprise, before she took her own in hand. ]

Likewise, and definitely not in... that. [ Mara still perpetually dons the leathers of a good old Assassin. ]

I'm thinking about it.

This poker thing isn't quite as good as Sabacc, but it's good enough.

[ She nods at the duds, giving them a cursory glance. ]

A little simple, without the shifters, but cheating is a little more easy to catch.

[ She flashed him a grin. ]

A plane, hm? I know a good forger around here. I could hook you up.

[identity profile] emperorshand.livejournal.com 2011-09-20 01:06 am (UTC)(link)
[ Her eyes slide just slightly over to him, focusing not on the player, but the table. ]

Interesting. Now why would you be that stoopa, is what I'm wondering.

[ She just flashes a shark's grin. ]

Maybe we should introduce ourselves, see if they'll let a few outsiders play?

[ And she won't even cheat! Mostly. ]

[Bars are good. Especially when you've been emotionally kicked around by someone you trust and care about. And your other housemate isn't exactly good at being the comforting type.

Also, all of the ice cream is gone.

So! Gin and tonics it is, for Ariadne. While she decides whether to try and pick someone up for the night - she doesn't usually do that sort of thing, but recent events have her feeling a bit uncharacteristically lonely. But the poker table looks vaguely promising.]
chesstotem: (a little sly)

[personal profile] chesstotem 2011-09-18 04:53 pm (UTC)(link)
[After some consideration, Ariadne decides a better use of her time would be to practice her pickpocketing skills. She's only done it a couple of times in reality, but she hasn't been caught yet, and what better population to try it on than a bunch of half-drunk gamblers with all their attention focused on the poker table?

She meanders over, pretending to watch the game with interest, but really she's scoping out a likely target. Several of the men have their jackets off, folded over the backs of their chairs, and it's easy enough to brush past them the way Eames showed her.]
chesstotem: (all dressed up)

[personal profile] chesstotem 2011-09-18 08:51 pm (UTC)(link)
[Hey, Eames praised her technique! So, okay, she's not exactly a master of sleight-of-hand yet, but everyone needs to start somewhere, right?

Also, her small hands help. It's pretty simple to slip one into a pocket and come back with a slim leather wallet.]
chesstotem: (nervous!)

[personal profile] chesstotem 2011-09-22 09:45 pm (UTC)(link)
[She dodges out of the way, instinctively protecting the wallet she just pilfered.] Han! What's up? [She glances around, hoping to god no one else is here that she knows.]
chesstotem: (answering)

[personal profile] chesstotem 2011-09-27 05:09 pm (UTC)(link)
[She frowns a little, put-out that Han noticed. But he would, since he's also a criminal. Still -] You sound just like - my teacher. [She has to stop herself from saying "Eames", which she knows the forger wouldn't appreciate.]

[ damn right eames would take action. however, surprise, eames is also in one of those top bars. waving coyly at hands from the bar ]
pilfered: (they don't breed.)

[personal profile] pilfered 2011-09-20 04:06 am (UTC)(link)
Look at you, Mr. Costume, leaving the apartment without me offering death threats. It's very impressive.

[ eames snickers and picks up his drink. ]

Mission accomplished then.
pilfered: (planning.)

It's a good way to keep you sharp.

[ eames is smiling as he turns to the bartender to order a neat scotch. ]
