[ there isn't a way to cut a wire to stop the bomb. however it was rigged the only apparent way is the one she told him about. there's nothing much more to find out about the device other than that.
she also isn't going to address the name game anymore. if he supplies her with a name then she'll give hers, but that's the only condition. ]
no subject
[ some distant part of eames thinks that yusuf would have greatly loved to study whatever compound is in that bomb. ]
And why is it here?
no subject
[ it was really there to scare her. fear triggered her ability and he wanted her ability to turn it off.
but she turns around and walks back towards the door they entered (which is now an elevator since this room has an elevator and not a door). she presses the button to call it and steps inside when it arrives. if eames chooses to stay in the room then the bomb will explode since olivia hasn't disabled it, and if he gets on the elevator (http://www.fringefiles.com/gallery/albums/episodes/120/normal_fringe120-1045.jpg) then they'll head down. it's a long elevator ride, too. ]
no subject
If I ask where we're going, would you have an answer?
[ it seems like aimless wandering, with no goal or visible end. ]
no subject
I don't know where it goes, but I know where I ended up the last time I took it.
[ the elevator stops with a ding and the doors slide open to reveal a very white hallway (http://www.fringefiles.com/gallery/albums/episodes/120/normal_fringe120-1050.jpg). olivia walks with purpose down it and eventually into an office (http://www.fringefiles.com/gallery/albums/episodes/204/normal_fringe204-356.jpg). there's a bell (http://www.fringefiles.com/gallery/albums/episodes/204/normal_fringe204-351.jpg) on the desk (http://www.fringefiles.com/gallery/albums/episodes/204/normal_fringe204-447.jpg) and if eames decides to ring it then the dream will abruptly change. olivia walks to the window and stares out at the city below. it's new york, without a doubt, and if eames is particularly good with visual landmarks then he might be able to tell that they're in one of the twin towers. the particular thing about olivia standing at the window is that her reflection in the glass is that of the face eames will be used to seeing, though she doesn't seem to notice this. ]
no subject
but if it's the latter, then eames is at a loss. he's never seen anything quite like it.
the silence stretches on and on and on until eames rings the bell, if only to test what effects it may have. ]
no subject
as soon as the bell rings there's a flash of light outside and olivia goes flying through the window (http://www.fringefiles.com/gallery/albums/episodes/204/normal_fringe204-462.jpg) and out of windshield (http://www.fringefiles.com/gallery/albums/episodes/204/normal_fringe204-468.jpg) of a crashed SUV. the change in location is seamless as well; one moment they're in the office and the next olivia is lying on the ground (http://www.fringefiles.com/gallery/albums/episodes/201/normal_fringe201-152.jpg) after her flight.
even then it doesn't linger on that because it isn't in her memory. the next scene is in a laboratory (http://www.fringefiles.com/gallery/albums/episodes/201/normal_fringe201-400.jpg) filled with equipment, but olivia isn't anywhere to be seen. if eames explores the lab there's a lot to be found. a lot of questionable stuff, too. everything is well labeled and he'll find plenty of stuff to make all sorts of legal and illegal drugs. ketamine, neurontin, and lysergic acid diethylamide (lsd) seem to have been used recently. there's an array of random scientific equipment that you wouldn't expect in a normal laboratory here as well. whatever science happens here is fairly unorthodox and perhaps questionably legal at times.
there's three pieces of equipment running right now. two (http://www.fringefiles.com/gallery/albums/episodes/101/normal_fringe101-1053.JPG) are running graphs (http://www.fringefiles.com/gallery/albums/episodes/101/normal_fringe101-1034.JPG) of something (brainwaves as it happens), and the third is a computer screen with a video feed. as per the video olivia (http://www.fringefiles.com/gallery/albums/episodes/101/normal_fringe101-1008.JPG) is lying in water somewhere with lots of wiring. there's a tank (http://www.fringefiles.com/gallery/albums/episodes/101/normal_fringe101-1020.JPG) in the room that has wiring leading into it, and if he opens the doors he'll find olivia floating inside. even if he doesn't open the doors he can observe her inside the tank and it's fairly obvious after tracing the wires that she's inside there. she doesn't make any movements on her own and interaction will prompt fairly drugged up and out of it responses. olivia isn't in any state to make quick reactions or be in touch with what's around her. ]
no subject
predictably, the questionability of the lab doesn't bother him. eames has seen far worse in his line of work.
and then he finds olivia.
at first, he isn't sure whether or not he should disturb her. or if disturbing here would bring down a flood of projections to rip him apart. or perhaps it'll simply trigger a scene change. which is why he ignores common sense and does try to rouse her. ]
Olivia. You are Olivia, aren't you?
no subject
Oh, I'm here. Yes, I'm Olivia. Who are you?
no subject
[ he isn't sure whether or not disconnecting her from the wires would be beneficial. this whole operation makes eames skin crawl, but... ]
no subject
[ the wires seem to be connecting in a lot of different ways. he can't tell because of her position but there is a probe stabbed in the back of her neck. ]
no subject
[ because fuck if eames is going to start pulling things out willy-nilly. ]
no subject
[ if dreaming is being within one's mind, then she's headed in that direction. she's looking for john within her mind... in a dream. (welcome to fringe) ]
no subject
[ gosh olivia what are you talking about eames doesn't understaaaaand ]
no subject
[ yeah good luck to eames trying to understand the whacked up stuff that happens in this lab coming from someone drugged up and trying to go into their own mind. ]
no subject
[ man this is more up cobb's alley than his. why is this his life right now. ]
no subject
But John is dead. I'm finding his memories in my head.
[ yep. olivia is very used to having alternate memories in her head. ]
no subject
Darling, tell me how to get you out of there.
no subject
I don't want to go. I want to find John. I have something to say to him before he goes away.
no subject
[ why isn't yusuf down here? eames bets he would know what to do. ]
no subject
[ eames is putting up with this insanity so well. ]
no subject
There are far better ways to do that than nearly drowning yourself in this foul tank.
no subject
John. I'm sorry that I doubted you. I should have trusted you.
no subject
[ this is just bad news. and eames isn't sure he has much more time to spend trying to pull her out of whatever it is she's doing. ]
no subject
I love you, too.
[ after that she just silently rests in the tank. her vitals on the screens a bit away are steady, though low. very slowly they start inching back towards normal levels. as she starts the return back to consciousness. ]
