[ John sits on a bench outside one of the shops, kicking his legs back and forth, kind of happy that after half a year of being wasted time in the City his feet at least now scrape the floor when he does things like this. He's glancing around at the crowd nervously, wondering what he's actually doing here in the first place, and looking over at Dave every so often as though expecting some kind of cue. ]

[ unkind, a jerk, it's mostly the same thing. the dropping of the whole 'monkey' thing at least makes him not as combative. oh, a compliment! he scratches the back of his head, looking a little embarrassed in that way that anime dudes do, attention shifting from Dave to John and back. ]

I guess... it's because it's so boring around here. There's not much I can bring it to.
