[There's delicious barbecued turkey, mashed potatoes, some sort of cranberry concoction, tacos, guacamole, margaritas, and good friends! What more could a person ask for on such a lovely holiday?

Here's hoping Clint doesn't burn the mansion down!]

[What's Thanksgiving without some homemade guacamole? Bobbi's dressed very casually, lovingly preparing her (self-proclaimed) world famous guacamole, and also snacking on some corn chips. Because Thanksgiving is about snacking all day long.]

[Hank bursts in wearing the ugliest sweater and a pair of rolled-up khakis, carrying a few dishes with him]

Sorry I'm late! I was a little distracted by other affairs.

How's the turkey coming?

[Bobbi looks up, giving Hank an approving grin.]

Hey, you! You're not late at all!

[She quickly wipes off her hands with a towel and offers to help Hank with the dishes.]

You'll have to ask our executive chef about the state of his turkeys. He's in charge of that aspect of the affair.

Traffic was murder with the parade. Almost literally, in fact!

[He hands her a dish or two, then juggles the others to the counter. After setting them down, he goes to the cupboard to get his hairnet and gloves.]

Executive chef? Should I be worried?

_{( Clint is wandering about in between tending the grill, and at a spare moment he comes in and reaches around Bobbi to sample the guacamole. )}

[She squawks in protest, turning around to give him a smirk.]

That's cheating. It's not ready yet.

_{( Clint is in charge of the turkey, which may or may not be a good idea. In any case, he's chilling by the barbecue just waiting to be bothered or to set something on fire. )}

[Hank wanders out to do that bothering as soon as he hears about it. Folding one arm and burying his cheek in the other, he stands there for several moments, blinking.]

...Well, I suppose it can't be an Avengers party without a barbecue.

[Hank just cringes the more he watches.]

At least we know the pies will come out alright. [He checks his watch. Yeah, they still need a bit more time.]

Once he's done being impressed by the mansion, Calvin is (literally) hovering over the grill. They're really going to grill a turkey, and that's the perfect blend of inventive and downright stupid to interest someone his age. He's watching the cooking so he can see this bold experiment for himself. If it turns out all right, later he'll taste it for himself too!

"Cooking a Thanksgiving turkey just like a hamburger," he says. "It's so simple! Why hasn't anyone thought of it before?"

After following Calvin around the mansion (not quite at superspeed, but close enough because well, children) Pietro is quite content to keep an eye on the little guy as he peers over the grill. After all, someone has to keep track of the child and make sure Barton doesn't accidentally do something stupid and kill him.

"Careful, now. Angelica would never forgive me if you were to fall in."

"I'm pretty sure someone's thought of it." Clint can't help but grin at Calvin, since it's always nice to have an audience that appreciates one's ideas. At Pietro, though, he only pulls a face.

"You really think I'd let that happen?"

[Finally dinner is served! What sort of hideousness could possibly go down during this meal?]

[Angelica is the first to sit at the table, mostly because she's been lingering in that general area for awhile now. She sits down quietly, hands folded neatly in her lap, content to watch the others buzz around as they will.]

Hey, Angie. Having fun?

Of course. [She offers up a small smile.] The food looks amazing. It must've taken forever to cook it all.

Well, that's where having ten sets of hands comes in handy, I guess. Everyone took care of something.

[Calvin is pushing around his vegetables on his plate, forming his mashed potatoes into a sculpted pillar, and generally showing signs of having too much energy for a peaceful Thanksgiving dinner.]

Hey Angelica, superheroes like the Avengers are the best at all kinds of fights, right? Does that include food fights?

[Oh lordy no. Angelica calmly daps her lip with a napkin.]

No. We're terrible at those, Calvin. Simply awful.

So does that mean if a food fight started unexpectedly, you'd all lose?

[Or in Calvin's case wandering around the Avengers Mansion looking for opportunities to get into trouble. Being in a mansion is exciting, but being in a superhero headquarters mansion? He's just about ready to bounce off the walls as he runs from room to room, trying to take everything in. Hopefully he won't find the armoury.]
