[There's delicious barbecued turkey, mashed potatoes, some sort of cranberry concoction, tacos, guacamole, margaritas, and good friends! What more could a person ask for on such a lovely holiday?

Here's hoping Clint doesn't burn the mansion down!]

[Angelica is the first to sit at the table, mostly because she's been lingering in that general area for awhile now. She sits down quietly, hands folded neatly in her lap, content to watch the others buzz around as they will.]

Hey, Angie. Having fun?

Of course. [She offers up a small smile.] The food looks amazing. It must've taken forever to cook it all.

Well, that's where having ten sets of hands comes in handy, I guess. Everyone took care of something.

Heh. Lucky me. I didn't even have to lift a finger!

It's the magic of the holidays, I guess.

[Calvin is pushing around his vegetables on his plate, forming his mashed potatoes into a sculpted pillar, and generally showing signs of having too much energy for a peaceful Thanksgiving dinner.]

Hey Angelica, superheroes like the Avengers are the best at all kinds of fights, right? Does that include food fights?

[This line of questioning cannot possibly end well]

[Oh lordy no. Angelica calmly daps her lip with a napkin.]

No. We're terrible at those, Calvin. Simply awful.

Oh. I wasn't expecting that.

[Frown. Thinking.]

So does that mean if a food fight started unexpectedly, you'd all lose?

[Calvin eyes his peas. Then his spoon. Then the people he's sitting nearest.]

[Trying to defuse this situation........]

I'm pretty sure if that happened, Clint and Bobbi would cry.

[More frowning and thinking. Calvin moves his hands away from his spoon, for the moment.]

Really? I thought superheroes were supposed to be really tough and almost never cried.

You'd think that. But Clint and Bobbi are very sensitive people.

Wow. [Calvin remembers that he's supposed to be eating Thanksgiving dinner, and takes a bite of barbecued turkey before asking his next question. While still chewing, naturally.] Doesn't that cause problems for them when they're out saving people?

Sometimes. [She takes a small bite of turkey.] Sometimes they get very emotional.

[Calvin now appears to have forgotten his pea-related plans for trying to psychoanalyze the Avengers. Congratulations Angie you have averted disaster. For now.]

I'll bet it's because of how much stress they're under with their great heroic burdens. Superheroes must have loads of stress.

[She smiles, a bit pleased with herself.]

It can be very overwhelming sometimes. That's why this downtime is so important.
