[Food is courtesy of anyone who's brought pot-luck dishes -- Sanji, to say the least -- and there's a good amount of fizzy punch to go around, both alcoholic and non. Kids trying to sneak a sip of the stronger stuff will find it loses its bite when they take a sip, however.]

[All the girls have helped with the decorating, and the house is literally aglow with bobbing candles and glittery spheres.]

[There's also some mystery dishes by Luna -- one of which Andromeda is sampling cautiously.]

[ He gives the place a look around. ]

You have quite the shindig going on. Thank you for the invitation.

It's no trouble. The more the merrier, yeah? We have a bunch of witches here. We can always make the place a bit bigger if we have to.

[ Seriously, though. She's glad he came. ]

Did you have a good Christmas?

I did.

[ He'd busied himself, seen friends... It had been nice. He reaches into a pocket and pulled out a red envelope. ]

I brought you a card.

You did?

[ Tonks is genuinely touched. ]

You didn't have to. I'm just happy that you showed up.

[ It's pretty generic, a little message and a coupon for some frozen desserts. Just a joke, that. ]

Well... I suppose the extra gesture never hurts.

[ Beat. ]

In the interest of maintaining small talk, this is a nice place. Do you do tours?

I thought about getting you a boxed cheesecake but I wasn't sure what sort of message that wound send. Do I think you need to eat more? Do I think you're sweet? You know, that sort of thing.

[ Ahem. ]

Yeah. I do.

[ Tonks makes a grand, somewhat obnoxious gesture. ]

This is the foyer. It's supposed to be fancy, I mean it is French after all. Now...

[ She's pull him into greatroom. Most of the bottom floor is open. Tonks likes that. ]

In here, we having the living-grand-diningroom thing. It's big.

[ He nods slowly at the cheesecake thing. He likely wouldn't have interpreted it either of those ways, but... Fair enough.

He might be trying to look less amused than he is. He's not sure if she's being especially babble-y or not, but maybe it's a little funny. ]

It is quite big. And tastefully decorated.

Thanks. That's mostly my Mum's handiwork but I helped. You can thank me for the lack of green.

[ Tonks is not intentionally being babbly. She walks backwards, quickly approaching the sofa. Will she bump into it? Will she avoid it?

Tonks stops for a moment. ]

She doesn't even like the fun shades of green. It's the boring forest color.

[ Or so Tonks believes... ]

Right. Moving along...

[ Tonks turns around and runs right into the back of the sofa. ]

Here we have the couch. It's comfortable.

[ Maybe he'll think it was intentional? ]

[ He tries to warn her about the couch, but the whole thing kind of happens unexpectedly. He misses the chance. ]

So I'd hope. Are you alright?

I'm fine. I'm fine. I was just testing the sturdiness of it. You can never be too careful, constant vigilance, you know?

[ Tonks smiles. ]

Like I said, moving along...

[ Tonks escorts Kurt into the kitchen. ]

And here we have the kitchen. ...Be careful with the soups.

[ Well, if she's sure she's fine... Constant vigilance, apparently. ]

I was not much planning on disturbing them.

Is this your fixer-upper, by the way? Or the other one?

Luna made them... I'm not sure what with though.

[ Anyway! ]

Oh, this is the move-in ready one. I'm surprised you remembered.

I try to remember conversations when I can. It was our first, yes?

[ He gives the place another look-'round and nods affirmatively. ]

It's nice. You seem pleased. I am glad.

Yeah, it was. I like that you remember.

[ Tonks ducks her head for a moment. Where was she? Oh, yes, the grand tour. ]

Yeah. I am. Everything turned out alright. There's enough space and everything Well, a friend was ported out but you know how that goes. There's no controlling or planning for that.

Well, that's it on the first floor.

[ He suspects that's the bulk of it. The upstairs is likely to be where everybody sleeps, and bedrooms are not something to be intruded upon. ]

One of my roommates, Luna, has set up her paper in the garage. We haven't much gotten around to landscaping yet so, I'm afraid the tour's over. I could show you my bedroom but I'm not sure that you've earned that privilege yet.

[ Haha. That... Is a bit of an awkward joke. There's a brief moment in which he's not completely sure how to respond before he laughs at himself and shrugs it off. ]

That seems fair.

[ For the most part, Tonks is joking. ]

It is fair, besides, my room's a mess.

I shan't ever press it, then.

[ Done and done. ]

Do you like cabbage rolls?

I've never had them but I'll try anything once.

Well, I thought I should bring something, but I will go ahead and warn you that cooking is not my forte. I hope you will spare me criticism, as it's not a field I seem to readily improve in.

I would've been more than happy to help you make another boxed cheesecake.

[ Tonks pats Kurt on the shoulder. ]

I'll do everything within my power to boost your ego there, Kurt.

Excellent. It is one of the few things I have left, so I should like to try and keep it intact for now.
