[Food is courtesy of anyone who's brought pot-luck dishes -- Sanji, to say the least -- and there's a good amount of fizzy punch to go around, both alcoholic and non. Kids trying to sneak a sip of the stronger stuff will find it loses its bite when they take a sip, however.]

[All the girls have helped with the decorating, and the house is literally aglow with bobbing candles and glittery spheres.]

[There's also some mystery dishes by Luna -- one of which Andromeda is sampling cautiously.]

It was, yes! Thank you. I think it turned out rather well. There certainly wasn't a lot left after the twins' party. I'll send you some if you like, I still have a few slices.

At the MAC. I was coming back from delivering some of my gifts to friends and heard a lot of partying going on.

Oh! Sorry, I can't take responsibility for that one. We moved out of the MAC a while ago. Must've been someone else's party.

Unless you could hear us all the way from the MAC. That's a bit worrying.

Ah, good, must have been somebody else then. Now I don't feel so bad about having other things to do, though I'm sure you had your hands full as it was.

It was a bit of a blur, I'll admit.

Didn't you want to come over, Sanji? You'd have been welcome, you know.

[casually laughing it off] Oh, well, thank you very much, Miss Ginny, but it's all right. Christmas isn't a thing where I'm from, so I don't mind. I went out and dropped gifts off with friends all over the city and then spent the afternoon cooking for the homeless shelter. I missed the opportunity last year on account of being frozen inside a hotel.

Oh. I think James might've mentioned something about that too. That's an awful thing to happen on Christmas.

Though, if you don't mind me saying so, even if you don't really celebrate it? I think helping in a homeless shelter is one of the best ways you could spend a day like that.

James...? Oh. [ahem. Awkward. Not mentioning hitting on the guy's future wife or trying to hunt him in deer form, nope] Yeah, it was a hell of a time, all right. I'm glad nothing like that happened this time around.

[and now for a suave smile] It's the least I could do, really. No one should go hungry no matter what day it is, if I can pitch in to help.

Yes, James Potter. He's a friend of mine, do you know him? [ Well, technically he's her ex-boyfriend's dead father. No one ever said her life wasn't strange. ]

That's really nice of you, Sanji. That's what Christmas is meant to be all about, spending time with family and friends and helping people in need.

Uh...sort of, in passing. I haven't spoken to him in a long time, we only really met through... [derp] ...Miss Lily. Who's come and gone a few times since then, I've lost track.
