SUMMARY: Andromeda, Luna and Nymphadora have a holiday get-together of their own.

[Food is courtesy of anyone who's brought pot-luck dishes -- Sanji, to say the least -- and there's a good amount of fizzy punch to go around, both alcoholic and non. Kids trying to sneak a sip of the stronger stuff will find it loses its bite when they take a sip, however.]

[All the girls have helped with the decorating, and the house is literally aglow with bobbing candles and glittery spheres.]

[There's also some mystery dishes by Luna -- one of which Andromeda is sampling cautiously.]

Prune. [ Oh dear. That reminds Ginny rather forcibly of her Aunt Muriel, so she quickly shakes her head. ]

I'll try the plum, I think! Sounds very sweet.

[ Ginny takes and holds it. She's not sure if she should just...try and eat it without a spoon, or if she should wait, so she stands a bit awkwardly. ]

Erm. So have you had many takers?

[ Ta da! Luna finds a spoon, at last, and hands it towards her. Grinning with anticipation. ]

Not many. There was a blond man with some very interesting ideas on how I could improve my cooking and I tried to get Professor Snape to taste it, but...

Oh, do you mean Sanji? He helped me when I was making cakes, said he was a chef.

[ Ginny takes the spoon and tries a bite, but then almost chokes. ]

Professor Snape? Honestly Luna, I don't know how you manage these things with him. Wasn't it you who told me he was dancing at the ball that time?

[ Now she tries it properly, and grins. ] Oh it's really sweet! It's lovely.

So he seems. Even if he's not, he's quite friendly, and creative with cooking too. As for Professor Snape, I have to be honest, I'm a bit confused by it as well. He's not very nice, as you know of course, so...

[ She beams, pleasantly surprised -- all she dared hope for that Ginny didn't spit it out. ]

You mean it?! You're not just saying that to be kind?

No, of course I'm not! I wouldn't do that. [ Actually she might. But she's serious in this case, her sweet tooth is in favour of this. ]

By the way I've been meaning to ask you. Have you written any more of those stories you told me about before?

[ She puts a finger to her mouth, looking thoughtful. ]

Well... I had to take a break because of the holidays, but I should start up again soon. Is there anything you think I should write about?

Maybe you could write a story about all of the ImPorts. I've been thinking a lot about it lately, how...we'll go home, and forget being here. Or at least that's what people say. Maybe the only time we'll have to tell those stories is while we're here.

That's... [ She starts nodding, more to herself than to Ginny. Then, without warning, turns back to her with a large smile on her face ] That's a brilliant idea! I'll start interviewing people as soon as possible!

Really? [ Ginny looks pleased, and smiles back. ] You'd be really good at that! You can talk to anyone, Luna. I'm sure it'd be a lot of fun.

You really think so? [ Luna grins back at her. ] If you believe that, then I think I have to give it a try.

Of course I do! I think you'll do brilliantly, Luna.

I think I might like to hug you, if that's all right with you.

[ Ginny starts laughing. ] Well, it is Christmas. And you don't need to ask anyway!

[ Luna, have an armful of red-headed cuddles. ]

[ Ginny, prepare to be hugged like you're never been hugged! ]
