WHO: Friends and family of Andromeda Tonks.
WHERE: House (H)Tonksgood
WHEN: Tuesday, January 17th, 7pm (or roundabouts)
WARNINGS: I'll let you know!
SUMMARY: It is Andromeda's birthday. Tonks is going to throw her mother a party.
FORMAT: consonants and vowels.
[ It is her mother's birthday. In lieu of something extravagant for a gift, Tonks has opted to have a dinner instead. Her friends have been invited.
Being a thoughtful and considerate daughter, Tonks is not making her mother cook. She is taking care of the food and the desert! No, no. Don't panic. Tonks isn't cooking. Her fingers work! She hasn't lost her voice. It's pizza for dinner!
The dinning room table is covered with an assortment of different pizzas. There's thin crust. There's handtossed. There's a pizza with everything, there's a pizza with just cheese. There are some sides such as crisps and vegetables for dipping.
For desert, there's a chocolate cake sitting on a buffet. It's iced with a gooey, chocolate fudge frosting. There are loads of candles stuck in the top, too many to possibly represent Andromeda's real age but too few to set the place on fire. If chocolate cake doesn't appeal to you, there are vanilla cupcakes with yellow frosting. Plus, there's ice cream. Drinks are varied.
And because Tonks is such a considerate daughter, there will be no cleaning up! It's plastic utensils along with paper cups and plates for all! They're yellow. They match the yellow and orange birthday decorations that adorn the interior.
Come one. Come all. It's a pizza party. ]

The Gift Table
Gentle nudge to Nymphadora!

You have to wait!
[ What did Tonks get her mother? The two photographs that Ron gave her (http://capeandcowllogs.livejournal.com/1832061.html?thread=68183933#t68183933) have been framed. They're wrapped. Tonks also got her mum a sheer purple scarf with silver-threads shot through. ]

Do I, now? Well, if you say so.
[She grins.]
Everything is lovely, dear. Thank you.

[ Tonks grins back. ]
I thought of everything. Did you see the forks? They're made of plastic. We can just throw them away. Isn't that clever?

[Andromeda wraps her arms around her daughter in a quick hug.]
I hope you didn't strain yourself too much.

Guests at the party
Happy birthday, Andromeda! I hope you're having a good day.

Thank you, dear. Your dessert looks like it's a good change from the pumpkin pasties we've all been stuffing ourselves with.

[ She sets the pie down on the table, and offers Andromeda the present. ] This is for you.

[She takes the present with a nod, handling it carefully.]
That was very thoughtful of you, love.

[ She thinks that's when they have all the pumpkins, anyway... ]

[She tilts her head to the side.]
Are you doing all right?

Another drive-by Snaping.
no subject
[ Yeah, Tonks isn't just going to let him ignore everybody. (troll) ]
no subject
[With no intention of consuming that greasy slop, either.]
no subject
[ You don't have to answer, Snape. It's mostly rhetorical, mostly. ]
Have you spoken to Mum yet?
no subject
[No pizza, no hats-- Snape defines 'party pooper'.]
[open!]
no subject
No, really -- she definitely wasn't expecting to see him again. Her dates are clearly just destined to end abruptly and awkwardly.
Does this mean her daughter invited him? Oh, maybe she knows.]
...Did Nymphadora tell you the party was at five, then?
[Apparently she's going to go for the 'awkward teasing' strategy.]

[She smiles in what she's hoping isn't a completely awkward way. She knows he felt awful, she's just surprised he hadn't written off seeing her again out of some sort of silly pride or embarrassment or whatever else she thinks Wes must have felt.]

He rubs at the back of his neck, then jerks a thumb in the nebulous other direction from which he'd come. ]

Re: Open!
The perfect hostess, Tonks.
