you want to walk around like you own the joint.
WHO: hikaru sulu and you!
WHERE: central park!
WHEN: this evening!
WARNINGS: none anticipated, but will update as needed.
SUMMARY: sulu heads out to look at some constellations.
FORMAT: we all know about my love of action spam.
[ living in the city was the farthest north sulu had ever been in his life. and the first truly cold winter he'd ever experienced. but be that as it may, it didn't really stop him from putting on a thick coat and scarf and going to sit in the park and look at the stars.
all the constellations had moved. some nights it felt like there were more stars, too many, triple the amount of what he remembered from home and this world felt even more alien than before. and then other times he could map out ancient constellations, the ones he remembered from the back pages of his great-grandfather's astronomy texts, and he wished he could take a picture to bring home with him.
it was probably just as well he couldn't. technically that was a violation of the prime direction, sulu was betting.
but still, tonight he takes his favorite seat on the bench and tips his head back to look up. it's easier to relax like this, not to think of impending alien hostilities or how very long he's been away from home, or how much he misses his job. his fingers are freezing, so he jams them in his pockets. he always forgets to bring coffee or tea, and always returns back to their now overful apartment half-frozen.
it's not so bad. it's worth it, for the view. ]

So you're having a cup of tea, all by yourself, in the dark, in the middle of a park. [weirdo.]

And you're trying to meet that one homeless person that will make your heart feel complete?

[ which doesn't really sound much better, but whatever. sulu doesn't care. ]
