SUMMARY: This is the townhall meeting, where everyone can come and show up, and wave accusations and shout to their little heart's content. They can also discuss skrull accusations in a calm manner if they really want.

[ And the large room where the City Council met was open for business. The walls were lined with seats, there were rows and rows of seats, nice lighting, and even a couple tankards of coffee open for business. Look, he wasn't a complete monster! There was security, but they remained silent and observed, instructed only to interfere if things were escalating to violence, and only then. Most of the Mayor's staff were already there before people started to arrive, and they were sitting in most of the seats reserved for the City council. There wasn't music, but it would be a good half hour to forty five minutes before the actual proceedings got started.

When they did, it was all about an open forum. ]

[ Rachel has to be there for two of them, Tobias outside but hopefully still able to keep a close eye on them. In the meantime, she's just quietly sitting somewhere to the side, watching everyone. ]

Yeah, it's pretty ridiculous.

I don't know who's being suspicious, so I guess I'm not voting.

I thought it was smartest to show up at least. Besides, that Zoidberg guy accused me, so.

That isn't fair of him. I heard him accuse a lot of people.

He accused a lot of people, yeah. I'm pretty sure no one believes him, which is good, because he's just wasting time.

[Jessica isn't actually at the meeting. She's taken refuge in Jason and Carrie's apartment, but she still wanted to participate, so she sent one of her duplicates in her place to keep and eye on things and vote, if needed. She spots Rachel and gives a friendly wave.]

[ That gets a slight smile out of Rachel, as she waves back and even stands up and moves closer. ]

Yeah, well, I got accused so I figured I should show.

Well I've been accused of being pregnant with one, so I thought I'd make an appearance too.

This whole thing is super stupid.

Of course it's ridiculous. I'm not pregnant at all, let alone with a Skrull. Everyone's just freaking out and pointing fingers randomly.

There's like, nothing you can say. If you say you're not an alien, they get mad and say you're lying. And if you say you are, they have all the "evidence" [complete with finger quotes] they need.

Yeah. Sort of figured. [ This is nothing like how the Animorphs went about it. Sure, they had some help the City people don't in knowing their enemy's weaknesses, but still. ]

We should hit the mall tomorrow, there's some good sales on.
