SUMMARY: Diana pays an informal visit to City Hall.
FORMAT: Quick at first, then whatever!

[Diana has been looking forward to this visit for several reasons. She admittedly wants to see how the City is being run, and while it isn't her priority, it's a good opportunity to observe.

She arrives without pomp and dressed in casual clothing, her Wonder Woman armor and accessories nowhere in sight. She isn't exactly inconspicuous despite this, but she's still hoping to blend in. After all, she isn't here in any formal capacity -- only to visit friends.]

I do hope he has time to see me. [She falls beside Zatanna.] Were you hoping to run into James?

[hexappeal]

I'm sure he will. I think he'll be attending the charity function as well, so he's probably getting ready for that. [Zee focuses on the hallway before them, trying not to smile in that dorky new relationship sort of way.] Maybe.

[themysciran]

He'll be glad to see you, too. [Her smile widens. Her two friends are happy! With each other!] He'll probably be with Mitchell, so we should be heading in the same direction.

[hexappeal]

Oh, I expect him to be. [Wow, is that a... threat? Kind of. Maybe.] Probably. I know after Mitch went missing he's taking his job more seriously than ever. I worry that he'll wear himself out.

[themysciran]

I'm sure you'll keep him from overworking himself. [Not that she's not guilty of doing the same. Sometimes. Always.] But you two will have a well-deserved break tonight.

[hexappeal]

I'll try to, but he's incredibly stubborn. There's only so much I can do outside of teleporting him to the middle of nowhere. [Zee looks at her, questioningly.] You mean the fundraiser, right? [Or does she have other plans, hm...]

[themysciran]

I do. [Nah. Unless he wants to hang out and watch shitty movies with them afterwards. She grins at Zee's words.] You're good for each other.

[hexappeal]

Oh, right. If he goes. I'm not sure if I can drag him, but I'm hoping he planned on making an appearance anyway. [Zee loves shitty movies and TV. Just not Jersey Shore. It's too much for even her.] You really think so? Sometimes I worry that I'm too pushy with him.

[themysciran]

You aren't -- he needs someone who can stand up to him. He can be a bit cheeky and aggressive at times. [whoops are they even talking about the same person]

[hexappeal]

...wait. You're not talking about Mitch, are you? [You can't possibly be. Not while using words like "cheeky," or "aggressive," not really.]

[themysciran]

[Uh.] ...I was talking about James. [There's a split second of awkwardness before she breaks into another grin.] But it's amusing to note that they can be so interchangeable.

[hexappeal]

Only to a certain degree. Once you got down to mentioning those personality traits, there was no way it could've been Mitch. [She'd date Mitch, totally. But she's pretty sure he's asexual and that's okay with her, just so long as he keeps chillaxin' with her.]

[themysciran]

Nevertheless, they're both going to the fundraiser, aren't they? At least you won't be short on company for the night. [Diana would have gone too, if the mun weren't a lazy butt she didn't have other matters to attend to.]

[hexappeal]

I think Mitch might be, I'll have to bother him about it in a bit. Considering what its fundraising for, I'm pretty sure he will. [Being the mayor must be so tough, what with all the fundraisers and charity events in these parts... at least the food and drink is usually good? (And that's okay, she's only just getting re-situated in the City. And you have a life to live.)] Any concrete plans for the next few weeks, by the way?

[themysciran]

You'll be performing, right? [A beat.] And nothing at the moment. I might attempt to find employment, time permitting. Has something come up?

[hexappeal]

I will. It's a teaser of what's to come.

Nothing! I just thought that we should do something that isn't hanging around the house or... walking around City Hall, soon. [Man, is this like, the West Wing or some shit? Endless halls.]

[themysciran]

I'll make sure to attend your opening show when the time comes.

Perhaps a trip with the boys might be nice? [She means their housemates heh.]

[hexappeal]

I'll be saving a seat in the front row for you.

[You'd think Diana would have learned from the last time to be more specific... at least Zee doesn't think she means Mitch and James. This time.] That would be nice. I've been a touch stressed over the past few weeks and I think it would do both of them good.

[themysciran]

[Though that would be fun too ngl.] It would be nice for them to see different places. The City shouldn't be their only representation of what this world is like.

[hexappeal]

[It'd be a mess. Not that Zee is against that.] I've had similar thoughts. Not that I dislike the City and the people in it, but Tig's from the past and Larsa's from a world that... seems to be semi-medieval. I think they'd really like it.

It's too bad they can't retain the knowledge they've acquired here whenever they return home.

[themysciran]

It is unfortunate. But they might as well make the most out of their stay here. [It's also one of her regrets that she won't be able to remember all the people she's met here when she returns home.]

[hexappeal]

Exactly my thoughts on the matter. Maybe we can go for a road trip? [Oh, look, the neverending hall is less... that now. This is about where they'll part ways.] Anyway, I can meet you later?

[themysciran]

That would be lovely. Perhaps even a vacation out of the country. [She leans in, giving Zee a quick hug.] Of course. I'll see you at home.

[hexappeal]

Perhaps it's time they learn about their adopted family's heritage. [It's a half-finished thought, though. She'll try to smooth it out later. Maybe. After giving Diana a squeeze, she winks.] Of course. See you then!

[And off on her merry way she goes...]
