SUMMARY: Diana pays an informal visit to City Hall.
FORMAT: Quick at first, then whatever!

[Diana has been looking forward to this visit for several reasons. She admittedly wants to see how the City is being run, and while it isn't her priority, it's a good opportunity to observe.

She arrives without pomp and dressed in casual clothing, her Wonder Woman armor and accessories nowhere in sight. She isn't exactly inconspicuous despite this, but she's still hoping to blend in. After all, she isn't here in any formal capacity -- only to visit friends.]

[ And the mayor was in office, of course, walking down a hall with a paper cup of coffee, obviously taking a break, for the moment, but he stopped when he caught sight of her.

He couldn't be sure, but holy shit, wasn't that fucking Wonder Woman? He waved slightly, trying to catch her attention without being obnoxious about it. He was pretty sure it was her, but a nerd would always recognize the costume more than the person. ]

[She waves back, mouth curling up into a smile as she walked towards him.] Hello, Mitch. I hope I didn't come at a bad time.

[ Eyebrows rising, he shook his head, raising his empty hand in acquiescence. ] No, not at all. I was just on break, but it's good to see you! Have you been settling in well?

[themysciran]

I have, thank you for asking. I suppose it was the right decision to come on a Saturday.

[viced]

Oh yes. You wouldn't like to see this place in the afternoon. It gets a little crowded. Is there something you wanted to talk about? Or is this just a casual visit?

[enigmaestro]

[The Deputy Mayor's office is as green as anyone would expect. Green walls, green accents. A black leather swivel chair (as even Eddie would admit there is such a thing as too much hue).

He's dramatically dissecting a new bill proposal, one that offers tax cuts to everyone whom Eddie detests. It's a piece that he must sign his name to, for Mitchell, especially after the fallout of saving a few arts foundations in Mitchell's absence.

Turns out the men who filled Mitchell's coffers weren't so keen on the grander human endeavors.]

[Diana manages to get past his secretary even after having been told that he is busy. She only intends to drop by quickly -- after all, she wouldn't want to disrupt him from his work. And besides, she doubts he'd take it well if he finds out she visited and didn't seek him out.

She knocks softly on his door before opening it slightly, enough so he can see her peeking in.] Can I come in?

[enigmaestro]

Can't you see I'm a bit -- oh. [Edward glances up to catch sight of Diana, his acidic banishment dying on his tongue.]

Wonder Woman. [A beat follows, and he drops away his shuffled papers and pens.] Yes, of course. I don't believe we, ah, had anything scheduled.

[themysciran]

Diana, please. [She lets herself in, choosing to stand by the door.] I'm only dropping by to say hello. I know how busy you are.

[hexappeal]

[Zatanna, though no longer playing bodyguard, still occasionally liked to drop in on City Hall. All of her favorite people were here! Mitch! James! ...Those other guys! Up until recently there were three, at least. She was quite fond of Blue...

She's here for Mitch (and maybe to pretend not to be here to flirt with James, while she's at it), but she's taking her sweet time messing around. There are a lot of things to look at and a lot of people to make uncomfortable before she has to be off for that charity event. What better way to unwind than by being obnoxious?

And check that out. How unexpected. Zee offers a wave from down the hall and speaking in a tone loud enough to interrupt those at work:] Hey! Fancy seeing you here!

[themysciran]

[She turns at Zee's voice, casting an amused look at her before walking in her direction.] I thought I'd drop by for a visit. Don't you have an event to attend tonight?

[hexappeal]

Mitch'll pee his pants. [Zee's more at a speed-walk pace, but manages to reel it in (along with her voice).] I do. But until then, I need something to keep me busy.

[themysciran]

I do hope he has time to see me. [She falls beside Zatanna.] Were you hoping to run into James?

[acahellyeah]

[ Andy isn't in every day but he is in most days, and boy, as he walked over to his small office he was expecting only to see the usual faces, and not...

Not... Diana. Not that they'd ever really met in person, not that Andy ever thought it would be a good idea to. It was like seeing a celebrity you idolized in person for the time and realizing you had nothing interesting to say. He dropped the folders he was holding and rapped his elbow against the side of the door when he bent to pick them up. ]

Ah! Damn -- darn-- it--

[ He ducked into his office, peeking out and hoped that wasn't noticed. ]

[Unfortunately for Andy, Diana doesn't need superhuman hearing to notice that. She furrows her brow in concern, her expression relaxing into a smile when she sees Andy peeking out of his office.] Andy! I didn't expect to see you here.

[acahellyeah]

[ Andy stands up slowly, clearing his throat and acting as nonchalant as possible. He waves to her. ]

Hey, Diana...! What brings you--? I work here, actually, is there, I've never seen you here... before. Hi, by the way. [ He offers her his hand after a long moment of not knowing what to do with them. ]

[themysciran]

Oh yes, I remember you talking about an Arts committee on the Network. I'm here for an informal visit. [She takes his hand, giving it a firm shake.] It's lovely to finally meet you.

[doubleoohbaby]

[It's just another day at the office for James, who has since had Zee made lunch, omnomnom, and is doing the rounds of chatting with the office guys and gals and spying on visitors. Visitors like Diana, who he lets wander without disturbance, instead catching her between her social stops.

Naturally James is suited up, dark grey pinstripe for the day and a blue tie, but he looks less like the other suits in the city hall and more like... James Bond. Ok.]

Making a few social calls, are we?

[She does notice him as she walks the corridors -- he is definitely easily recognizable, even from afar. She smiles at him as he approaches her; they haven't seen each other for a long time, after all.]

Yes, and you're one of them. I must say that City Hall suits you.

[doubleoohbaby]

[His approach ends in a hug, short and to the point and entirely grope free. It's just a warm little greeting that he saves for the ladies that does just as well as a handshake.]

Little too bureaucratic for my liking, if I'm honest, but it'll do for now. Have you been offered a drink yet?

[themysciran]

[Aww, James. Diana returns the hug warmly.]

I'm afraid not, but everyone's been quite busy. I'm fine, but I appreciate the offer.

[solidorkable]

[Oh! it was very rare to see the same person twice in city Hall. Though, since he had seen her around (the sneaky little bugger), he though that perhaps she was in need of assistance? Maybe she had an issue?]

Excuse me, madam?

[themysciran]

[Diana's expression brightens when she sees him.] Hello, Larsa. It slipped my mind that you frequented City Hall, too.

[solidorkable]

[he was actually surprised to finally recognize her. A small blush appears under his cheeks, embarrassed that he had actually forgotten a member of his household.]

I am one of Mayor Hundred's interns, madam.

Please, call me Diana. There's no need to be so formal when we live under the same roof.
