(no subject)

WHO: I'll get back to you on that.
WHERE: Outside the City, at Diana and Zee's place.
WHEN: 3 PM on Sunday, May 20th.
WARNINGS: I'll get back to you on this, also.
SUMMARY: See this post.
FORMAT: Respond however you want.

It shouldn't come as a shock to anyone that Zatanna's house is even bigger on the inside than it appears from the curb. It also shouldn't come as a shock that the backyard is the same; while it's normally rather large, she's put forth a great deal of energy into making it big enough to hold a waterpark. It also isn't visible from the front yard or around the privacy gate. If someone were to take an aerial photo, all they'd see is a moderate-sized empty yard full of shrubbery and a patio set. There's obviously no reason Mitch shouldn't attend in a speedo, right?

There are tables of snacks and drinks, some of which are alcoholic -- but don't worry, if anyone under 21 grabs one, it turns into ginger ale. As boasted in her text, there is, in fact, cake. Two different kinds (neither with nuts just in case someone has allergies), one vanilla and covered in strawberries and the other a fancy-looking, layered chocolate. Both were bought from a little hole-in-the-wall bakery several blocks from her home that she and Larsa have been frequenting.

Though it is her birthday, Zatanna is playing gracious hostess, while wearing a very fitting swimsuit and occasionally toting around a cat or two.

This is sort of open. Feel free to tag in with whatever. c:

No, certainly not. [Steve's ears get a little pink.] You see, I was an android prior to arriving here! I'm told it's not uncommon for mechanical systems to be given organic forms here via Porter?

Well, not unheard of, but I don't think I've encountered it before.

So, Zerard. What kind of thing did you do there? Assuming you weren't just... [What is the word there? He doesn't know about robots.] activated before arriving here.
remarkablyspry: (⇒ thank you very much!!)

My primary function was interstellar navigation for a spaceship, though my maker insisted that I ought to, more than anything, collect as much data and see as many new things as I possibly can. [he places a hand on his chest.] I'm an explorer, of sorts!
nottheanswers: (Vic: is that so)

Interstellar? Must be constricting, then, being stuck on the one planet like this.
remarkablyspry: (⇒ wonderful just wonderful!!)

Actually, it's quite the contrary! [he smiles pleasantly down at his swizzle straw.] I've hardly run out of things to investigate on this planet, especially given my new state of being. It's been extremely educational...and fun!

[a very certain nod.] All things considered, I find I quite like this planet, this city...Of course, I'd love to do and see more, though the current state of transport is a hindrance...

So, it's a case of your curiosity keeping your interest here? [That's an outlook he can appreciate.]

Figure we might be a little low-tech for someone used to traveling between planets. The subway can get you where you need, and cabs everywhere else, but that doesn't make it any less of a hassle.
remarkablyspry: (⇒ you've certainly got it!!)

[personal profile] remarkablyspry 2012-05-27 02:38 pm (UTC)(link)
[he chuckles, nodding.] Indeed, I have experienced a little less than...punctuality when it comes to local transports, but none have been so awful as to deter me just yet! In fact, it's not so different from some of the transports on the other planets I've visited!

[he rocks on his heels a little, leaning in to inquire:] Have you ever been off-planet before, Mister Vic?
nottheanswers: (Vic: full of secrets)

[personal profile] nottheanswers 2012-05-28 08:53 pm (UTC)(link)
[He shakes his head pointedly.] Oh no, not me,I'm pretty fond of the ground.

Besides, it's like you said, there's plenty things to keep one's attention down here.
remarkablyspry: (⇒ ok wait i'm listening!!)

[personal profile] remarkablyspry 2012-05-30 10:44 pm (UTC)(link)
Yes, of course. Of course! [he tilts his head as he leans back to settle flat on his feet again.] What things interest you in particular here? Do you have a kind of job, too? I've been trying to find one...
nottheanswers: (Vic: right this way)

Well, I'm not quite an explorer, but I do make a living asking questions.

[He shifts his weight and moves his hands to his hips.] No luck yet? I'm not sure how piloting might translate to other machinery, but you might try something as a driver, perhaps.
