sons, daughters, you've been made not to fade
WHO: DRAGONS OH BOY. aka Aurican and Khisanth!
WHERE: SOMEWHERE IN THE CITY
WHEN: tonight
WARNINGS: none
SUMMARY: Those conveniently color coded dragons meet up and do like good and evil tend to: not get along very well.
FORMAT: quicklog
[ She never wants to go to France again. It had taken entirely too long for herself, Parker, and Isaac to get back again, and she's more than had her fill of traveling. Unfortunately she still has to return to her swamp, but... well, she's going to put that off for a few days. She can survive in the City until then.
And first on her list of things to do, while she'd procrastinating on the return flight home, is to revel in the fact that she can finally take her true shape again, without being diverted to the form of a small dog. Man that had been annoying.
So Khisanth is currently a dark shadow perched at the edge of a 10 story building, wings folded to her sides, and simply enjoying the evening. And she'd made sure to find herself a meal outside of the City, so as not to be tempted by the smells of the City's most populous creature. She's really not feeling keen on another confrontation with anyone who might object to her picking off humans for dinner. ]

[ He spent a thousand years in the grotto without seeing the sun, he really has no idea. ]
And of you?

She's not sure if she should be amazed or skeptical, but she is sure that she won't be answering. She has no idea what her age is, but she knows she's spent no more than six of her years conscious. ]
Look at us. Chatting like old friends. [ There's a toothy grin in place as she says it, and her body takes on a bit more of a comfortably looping curve. ] There's something wrong with this picture, don't you think?
[ She's half honestly asking it, even as it's out in a teasing purr. They are supposed to be at each other's throats, aren't they? ]

And as I much as I dislike your kind, I don't see a reason to resume any fighting.
[ He replies just as breezily as he gave a pause, then added: ]
Unless you give me one.

Gods, this is confusing. ]
I've lived here for more than a year. I've learned the best ways to avoid unpleasant situations with the locals and imPorts alike, and those ways don't include burning or melting large parts of the City.
[ This disinterest in fighting may not wholly acted anymore. There's definitely some truth in her words, as she would really like to avoid being locked away again. ]

[ Due to Aurican awful lack of understanding sarcasm, it's hard to tell if he's being genuine or being rather dry with her. ]
Takhisis' philosophies have never been practical.
[ YEP HE WENT THERE. ]

So in a second she relaxes, folding her wings calmly into her body. She's not going to fall for that. ]
Takhisis is just as absent from this realm as Paladine is.

Fortunate as we are that we don't have to be their soldiers.
[ Aurican loves Paladine, but he makes no qualms to the fact while he is a beloved child of Paladine, he is a soldier as well, willing to slay evil wherever he sees.
Wherever he sees. ]

Fortunate for you, maybe. I'd always heard that metallics were a cowardly lot.

[ But then, she never will understand.
Chromatics never do. ]

Her wings half unfurl, but she knows better than to use her favorite exit strategy with this one. Leaping straight toward people that she isn't allowed to kill to make them cringe and duck, only to fly harmlessly overhead, may work well in most cases, but she'd really rather not get a faceful of fire for her efforts. ]
We'll meet again, gold.
[ She's leaping into the air with that, spiking about sharply to wing in the opposite direction. ]

We shall.
[ He watched her fly away into the darkening sky, her scales blending her into the emerging night. As soon as he can tell she is not going to swoop back ot teleport back for a fight, Aurican leaps and climbs into the air, his scales gleaming by the City's lights like a piece of a sun has fallen from the sky. ]
