All efforts were still unsuccessful. He had been in this City for a while now. Since meditation was a good escape from his surroundings, the fact was he was still in a confined space became the harsh reality he was faced with every time he opened his eyes. The contact between nature and spirit was really starting to fade, thanks to thin apartment walls, neutrally colored carpeting, and the noise from the street. There was a vast difference between birds chirping and the wind gently passing through the leaves of a tree and loud traffic and gunshots outside.

How were people even able to think here?

He didn't wear civilian clothes often, but he was tired of the attention his eccentric cape drew. It was a quick errand, not a fight nor training. He didn't need his cape. The turban though? That was staying. Until he could find something else to cover the antennae. Not that the green skin and freakish tallness wasn't enough to make someone look twice.

"Sounds interesting enough." Piccolo responded, shaking his head. "I've distanced myself from this kind of civilization in the past." That wasn't to say he didn't lead an interesting life, but it was certainly different from one he was experiencing right now.

"This civilization as in a teeming metropolis, or pink-skinned mammals?" Peter asked, brow raised. "Heck, do humans even exist where you're from?"

"Yeah. They do." He shrugged. "A metropolis is what I was getting at."

"This must be some real culture shock, then." Peter can't even imagine how he'd have handled being dumped on another planet in the backend of nowhere instead another version of his own home city. Probably not as well as this guy. "Thinking of sticking around, or are you going to make tracks to a quieter part of the country?"

"I haven't mastered teleporting yet and I can't fly as fast as I used to here... so I figured it was best to settle in where I might be needed or at the very least where I'd be the most useful." Piccolo motioned to the street. "So, sticking around seemed like the logical option."

"Well, I hope people are treating you all right. It's not really the greatest time for imPorts to show up at the moment." Peter considers mentioning the Skrulls, but hesitates. It's hard to find a tactful way to tell someone that they might be mistaken for an alien invader, especially if they actually are (probably) an alien.

"So I've heard, though I doubt there really is a great time to be brought here." He heard about skrulls. He's used to the looks. No accusations yet, but he was prepared for it.

"I'm guessing you heard about the alien invasion, then. People here aren't used to that kind of thing. I mean," he clarifies, hastily, "I'm not really used to it either, but at least I've met aliens before, and people who don't look like ordinary humans."

"Yeah.... I know that it would probably be wise of me to at least attempt to blend in." But he didn't know how to begin. Where it came down to was the fact that he had green skin, it wasn't going to matter what he wore. He shook his head. "But I also figure that people could take any attempt of doing so as suspicious. I suppose it's best for them to simply become used to it."
