we will never be a nuclear family
WHO: The Spider-Family, and friends!
WHERE: A house in Bed-Stuy, soon to be the SPIDER-HAUS.
WHEN: All day Sunday!
WARNINGS: Spider-Shenanigans.
SUMMARY: The Spider-Family movies into their new home.
FORMAT: Quick, then whatever!
[The new residence of some 70% of the City's spider-themed populace is an unprepossessing little house in Brooklyn. Or not so little, what with six bedrooms and a basement apartment, but it has that down-home vibe to it that Peter hadn't even realized he'd been missing in the MAC until he signed the lease papers.
Peter is the first one to arrive today, since he wanted to unlock all the doors and turn on all the utilities before eight -- no, seven -- teenagers come crashing in. After hauling in the boxes and bags he brought with him in the rental car (which presciently includes two grocery sacks full of snacks: see above note re: teenagers), he retrieves himself a coke and goes out to sit on the front stoop, waiting for everyone else to come swinging in.]

Whoa. Could you? Does it—does it work like that? That'd be really cool. Then it probably wouldn't even come apart so easy...

She then proceeds to phase the sides they were supposed to screw, and pick up the part at the opposite and do the same. The result is that the edges of the parts stick out of a little, but otherwise it looks almost as if it was carved that way ]
And ta-da?

( Then she chuckles, shakes her head. With a grin, MJ is surveying the parts of the bookcase that have now been out-IKEA'd. )
Seriously though—thank you! Now I don't even have to keep all these wrenches around.

Well, at least keep one? For security's sake.

( MJ is standing up, then, and trying to hoist her bookshelf up against the wall accordingly. She wipes her hands together and grins. )
Perfect!

[ A beat. ]
Unless the Magneto over here goes evil.
Anyway...what are you filling this with?

( Then, she's surveying her bookcase again. )
It's kind of optimistic thinking, but... I'm hoping I'll get it nice and stuffed with books. And probably notebooks... ( She smiles. ) It's the homiest thing I've got so far.

Books huh? I think I'm surrounded by brainy people now. What do you plan to put on the notebooks anyway?
no subject
Not yet. ( She shakes her head, laughs; then shrugs her shoulders. )
—thoughts, mostly.
