we will never be a nuclear family
WHO: The Spider-Family, and friends!
WHERE: A house in Bed-Stuy, soon to be the SPIDER-HAUS.
WHEN: All day Sunday!
WARNINGS: Spider-Shenanigans.
SUMMARY: The Spider-Family movies into their new home.
FORMAT: Quick, then whatever!
[The new residence of some 70% of the City's spider-themed populace is an unprepossessing little house in Brooklyn. Or not so little, what with six bedrooms and a basement apartment, but it has that down-home vibe to it that Peter hadn't even realized he'd been missing in the MAC until he signed the lease papers.
Peter is the first one to arrive today, since he wanted to unlock all the doors and turn on all the utilities before eight -- no, seven -- teenagers come crashing in. After hauling in the boxes and bags he brought with him in the rental car (which presciently includes two grocery sacks full of snacks: see above note re: teenagers), he retrieves himself a coke and goes out to sit on the front stoop, waiting for everyone else to come swinging in.]

You know what? Actually, that'd be great.

He maneuvers the books into a pile in his own arms once Reilly is free of their weight. ]
Where are they going to go?
no subject
Nice trick.
And I think May and I were going to share the basement, so...
no subject
Thanks.
Okay, it's, uh-- hang on. [ He nudges the door open with his foot and hits the light switch with one shoulder, before starting down the basement steps. ]

Mind if I ask how you're doing that?
[ And he follows him down the steps to whatever May's managed to unpack so far. ] The... clingy thing.

[ He didn't tell Reilly when they first talked, but how that they're living together, it's a different story. Right? If Peter Parker trusts him, then why wouldn't Miles? Peter Parker knows way more than him about like, everything, so. ] I got bit by a spider and then-- I dunno, I just do a bunch of Spider stuff now.
If you think this is confusing you should see my venom thingy. I've got no idea about that one.
no subject
[ Then that last part hit. ] Wait. Venom? Tell me you're not referring to the symbiote.
no subject
Uh. The what?
no subject
[ Ignoring the question? Maybe. ] Look, if you haven't heard of it, don't worry about it. It's no big deal.

Look, I'm not exactly sure what to tell you. I don't know much about it— you'd have to ask May. The only advice I can give you is that if you come across some black ooze with a mind of its own, don't touch it, and definitely don't let it stab you.
no subject
[ Kind of. Clutching those books defensively now tbh. ] Um, where should I put...
no subject
Just put them by that mattress over there. I'll sort it out later.
[ Then, a little softer: ] Look, kid. Don't worry about it. Even if that thing comes around, I'm sure everyone here would let themselves get stabbed first before it got to you.
I mean, we're not– [ Family? ] We're not exactly buds. But we're Spiders. And that's what Spiders do. Or so they keep telling me.
no subject
Um, that's-- n... I just-- I don't want anyone else to get stabbed on my account either. I am still a superhero.
[ 8C Well Reilly, Miles would like to be buds, stop being so tsundere (again)!! ]
Are you, um, from their Universe too?
no subject
[ That question seems to throw him off a little, though, judging by the nervous look on his face. ] I... not exactly? Well, I mean- May and I are from the same world, but the others—
