[Weasleys' Wizard Wheezes is what you might expect a joke shop run my wizards (a wizard, now) to look like. It's colorful, with magically-animated signs and shelves lines with various products for your giggle-worthy pleasure. Along with what he's got leftover from the twins, there's a number of new products debuting today, mostly charmed toys and unique candies. The 'every-flavor' jellies that he'd questioned the Network about are in barrels lining one wall, and wizard chess sets have a display beside the front desk.

One shelving display holds a variety of little jars, each with a particular charm sealed up inside of it. Unbeknownst to Ron, one of these shelves needs a little work. But, apart from that, there are refreshments, magical demonstrations, and cake. It's a party, after all! ]

[ seeing the shelves give out, kanaya reacts in the most appropriate manner she knows of: panic. she rushes in to try to save the product, but alas, it's too late.

for her trouble, she gets a faceful of two charms as they smash against the ground. you can expect that she'll discover new meanings to the concept of loquacious honesty. ]

[A helpful tingle warns Spidey to leap clear of the mess ... until an air current wafts two of the broken charms into his face. All of a sudden he feels an impulse not just to check on Kanaya, but reassure himself of her safety with touch.]

Ma'am, are you all right?

[Unless she ducks him he'll pull her right into a hug. And that's when the Adhere, here! will kick in.]

[ she can't, she's too busy talking. ]

In as much as "alright" is a quality which could be attributed to me. Which isn't much really. The entirety of my life, or my unlife, rather, has proven to be exceedingly pointless and with no shortage of grief. It's a long, torrid affair of abandonment by those I love at the hands of an omnipotent machine, and little possibility they regard me with nearly the same degree of affection. It would be easier if I'd simply remained dead.

But I suppose you're inquiring more specifically on whether I have suffered any physical aggrievance, which I can respond to in the negative. I'm not exactly capable of it any longer. Well, that isn't entirely accurate. I can suffer bodily harm, but it has no profound long term effects. Only blood and pain, and that's no more than I already deserve.

[ she finally thinks to squirm a little in his grip. ]

You, uh, can release me now.

It sounds like you really need extra hugs, actually.

[But it's not very nice to keep hugging people when they don't want it, Spidey!] But, if you're sure...

[He tries to pull away, and only succeeds in making a weird jerking motion.

He tries again.] Uh, hang on, having some technical difficulties here...

[ she cats a wary glance at him] Have you really not detached yourself yet? The maneuver is truly unnecessary, and additionally not particularly welcome from one so unfamiliar.

Are you meant to be styled after a spider? I had been warned that such individuals exist, but I must say that your choice in color is rather inexplicable. What manner of arachnid is primarily garbed in red and blue as a combination? I suppose it has its aesthetic significance, but the connection to the inadvisable theme is unclear. The associations implied are likewise unpleasant. Too in line with a certain romantic interest of mine.

Why am I telling you this? I shouldn't be telling you this.

I swear, I'm trying, I just -- [tug, tug.] -- This isn't working. [The imperative to hug is rapidly fading in face of this new problem. More to himself than Kanaya:] Argh, let go!

[ and it finally dawns on her why he hasn't let go yet, and she thinks back to her earlier conversation with that spider-girl ] Are you stuck? I was told your kind typically has the ability to cling to walls, but does said cling apply to individuals as well? I'm fairly certain that I lack any wall-like properties, but if this occurs frequently, I imagine it must be a terrible inconvenience to your lifestyle! Being in possession of such an impediment, I would have expected you might avoid such physical expressions of affection, particularly given our decided lack of prior interaction.
