SUMMARY: Ron's promoting new stuff at the Weasley Shop. There will be cake and chaos.

[Weasleys' Wizard Wheezes is what you might expect a joke shop run my wizards (a wizard, now) to look like. It's colorful, with magically-animated signs and shelves lines with various products for your giggle-worthy pleasure. Along with what he's got leftover from the twins, there's a number of new products debuting today, mostly charmed toys and unique candies. The 'every-flavor' jellies that he'd questioned the Network about are in barrels lining one wall, and wizard chess sets have a display beside the front desk.

One shelving display holds a variety of little jars, each with a particular charm sealed up inside of it. Unbeknownst to Ron, one of these shelves needs a little work. But, apart from that, there are refreshments, magical demonstrations, and cake. It's a party, after all! ]

Morning ;; Shopping and Various Magical Demos

[ kanaya was making the rounds, keeping herself busy. it was the best way she knew to deal with a sullen mood.

as ron's assistant, it was her job to make sure the attendants were comfortable and found all any items they were looking for, and to close sales as she could. she didn't have any experience with retail, but found herself fitting the role rather easily.

she made certain she was available and visible for any customers with questions. ]

[ During a slower moment in mid-morning, Ron smiles widely and attempts conversation concerning her ease with the work. ]

You seem to be taking to this. It's lamentable that you're already so pro-active, and with school coming up... If we get busier, I'll need an employee or two.

I appreciate your help, at any rate.

I do have the other occupation, unfortunately. But that isn't to say I won't be able to spare some time on the weekends.

[ she's not about to balk from an opportunity to stretch herself out even further. ]

[ A promise is a promise, so here is Kate, standing out like the pale vampire thing she is. The hot red pants probably don't help. She's busying herself over the shelves, picking up items to read their labels and get a good look at them. Very Verity sounds rather useful in all honesty. ]

[ she's approached by a significantly less pale vampire, folding her hands in front of her with a welcoming smile. ]

Are you finding everything to your liking?

[ Kate remembers her -- one of the trolls and someone who had been particularly close to Tavros. She offers a smile in return. ]

Magic is not my area, but they're [ gesturing to the shelves ] a little tempting to try out.

[Midii wasn't exactly sure why she wandered into the shop after hearing Mr. Weasley's announcement over the Network. This wasn't usually her thing. And she was still a bit wary after the incident with Gretel and the bubble--not that she blamed the young witch for it, of course. But still.]

[In the end, it was most likely curiosity that brought her inside. She remembered Ron as a sibling of Ginny's, and even though Ginny was long since ported out, her kindness and spirit remained ever present. And she knew Ron was a trustworthy person. So his shop had to be relatively safe, right?]

[As soon as Calvin sees Midii, he marches up to her and hands her a laminated business card reading 'Calvin the Bold, Esquire- Boy Genius.' Two cards, in fact.]

Pretty cool, huh? The guy at the printer shop looked at me like I was nuts, but you can't argue with the results! Thanks for thinking of it.

Afternoon ;; Post-Cake Charm Chaos Extravaganza

[ With a crack and a crash, one of the shelves holding the Charm-in-a-Jars comes loose, which causes a domino effect of falling jars and breaking glass. The charms are loosed into the hair. Bless you if you can figure out how to avoid them.

Best of luck, otherwise. Ron will be trying his best to fix everything. ]

[ seeing the shelves give out, kanaya reacts in the most appropriate manner she knows of: panic. she rushes in to try to save the product, but alas, it's too late.

for her trouble, she gets a faceful of two charms as they smash against the ground. you can expect that she'll discover new meanings to the concept of loquacious honesty. ]

[A helpful tingle warns Spidey to leap clear of the mess ... until an air current wafts two of the broken charms into his face. All of a sudden he feels an impulse not just to check on Kanaya, but reassure himself of her safety with touch.]

Ma'am, are you all right?

[Unless she ducks him he'll pull her right into a hug. And that's when the Adhere, here! will kick in.]

[Magic doesn't work when you use it to fix magic you have no idea about. So, Klarion hasn't managed to get rid of the giant bubble that he's stuck in. He also managed to get hit in the face with another charm.

If he was aware of any kind of popular culture, he would have realized the irony of a witch-boy traveling by bubble. As it is, he isn't, so he's grumpily floating around in a bubble, thankfully with Teekl on his shoulders.]

[ Ron would rather try a disperse everything before it got too out of hand. It was unfortunately proving more difficult than he would've thought. The bubbles, really... ]

Don't panic. It'll let you down, just... Try to hold still! If you'd like, I can pop it. [ And hopefully it would stay popped. ]

[Kenzi arrives later in the day and is sad to find out that she missed out on the magical demos. But at least she got there in time to enjoy some of the delicious cake.

When the jars come crashing down Kenzi isn't anywhere near them but still somehow one manages to find it's way over to her. And at first it doesn't seem there's anything wrong.

And then here skin starts to slowly turn more pink. She doesn't notice at first but the next time she looks down at her arm it's pretty apparent.]

Oh what the hell? I hate pink!

[ At this point, Ron's running around attempting to quiet the chaos as quickly as possible. Is assurance in passing is a little weak. Not that being reassuring is a strong suit of his in the first place. ]

It's fine! You won't be pink for too long!

[After the crashing cacaphony, Calvin emerges from behind the pile of debris tripping over his brand new beard, which is thick, luxurious, bright blond, and long right down to his feet.]

Look at this! I look like Santa Claus with a dye job! This is so cool. I'm going to start tying knots in this thing. Or maybe I can turn it different colours!

[Well at least someone's having fun]

Magic is something that is one of Aurican's more important interests, along with music and art. So imagine his disappointment when he realize that his world is largely magicless, and had always been, and is likely to be always will be.

"Hello," Ron calls from where he's wrapping up with a customer at the register, using his best friendly shopkeeper voice. He distributes change and tells the customer to come again before he finishes his greeting. "Welcome to Weasleys' Wizard Wheezes.
