[Weasleys' Wizard Wheezes is what you might expect a joke shop run my wizards (a wizard, now) to look like. It's colorful, with magically-animated signs and shelves lines with various products for your giggle-worthy pleasure. Along with what he's got leftover from the twins, there's a number of new products debuting today, mostly charmed toys and unique candies. The 'every-flavor' jellies that he'd questioned the Network about are in barrels lining one wall, and wizard chess sets have a display beside the front desk.

One shelving display holds a variety of little jars, each with a particular charm sealed up inside of it. Unbeknownst to Ron, one of these shelves needs a little work. But, apart from that, there are refreshments, magical demonstrations, and cake. It's a party, after all! ]

[ she's approached by a significantly less pale vampire, folding her hands in front of her with a welcoming smile. ]

Are you finding everything to your liking?

[gevurah]

[ Kate remembers her -- one of the trolls and someone who had been particularly close to Tavros. She offers a smile in return. ]

Magic is not my area, but they're [ gesturing to the shelves ] a little tempting to try out.

[glowsferatu]

I can understand the disconnect. It is likewise outside my own field, but I seem to nonetheless find myself involved with it regularly. I suppose it can be useful when it doesn't present an inconvenient danger to all those around it.

[ ah, but she's met this woman once before, hasn't she? ] You're Nill's guardian, correct?

[gevurah]

Sort of. [ She actually looks a little sheepish now. She's never considered herself a parental type... more of a friend looking out for another. Of course, she's been questioning that since the incident with Dent. ] Kate. You're Kanaya, aren't you?

[glowsferatu]

Yes. I recall you from her birthday celebration, as she was moving into her current residence.

[ she makes a gesture to the room, knowing she's really thinking of the building itself ] And now, I suppose, you're granted similar opportunity to visit our own! I believe the occasion marks the birth of some dear friend to Ron, as well.

[gevurah]

I didn't realize you were working here. [ She glances around the shop for a moment. ] Then again, I haven't kept up with whatever the Weasleys were up to.

[ Well, the lone one, she supposed. ]

[glowsferatu]

Oh, well, we've been living here since Autumn, despite only the two of us remaining at this point, alongside Ron.

[ she takes a jar off the self, marked "reverie" ] He's only reopened the shop now since his brothers departed, so I wouldn't have had opportunity to work here prior to that.

[ handing the bottle to kate ] Tell me, what do you think of dreams?

[gevurah]

[ She takes it gently, though she does eye it a little cautiously. ]

Depends. What's in the jar?

[glowsferatu]

That very ingredient, actually. Though I'm not especially certain how their inspiration is tailored. Whether to the individual's subconscious expression or some outside vision from within the magic.

[ she hasn't sampled it because she might be a little afraid of the former. her dreams aren't pleasant, now that she has them independent of her previous source. ]

[gevurah]

[ Her dreams are not as pleasant either. That and while she's done her investigation on magic, particularly the dark kind, she knows she doesn't have the grasp on it that others do. It all sounds too risky. ]

It sounds fun and all, but is that safe?

[glowsferatu]

Well, I shouldn't think he'd offer them, otherwise. [ of course, she's always a little wary of magic by default. it can be such a hassle to deal with! ] Should any issues arise, I'm sure we'll have a method to counteract it.
